Home description
Our villa was completed in April 2007. It was built to our own high specifications and boasts many desirable features such as large balconies off all bedrooms (perfect for sundowners), luxuriously equipped travetine en-suite bathrooms for each of the 3 double bedrooms with his and hers basins and oversized showers. The spacious living area, which has vaulted ceilings, leads onto an open plan, fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops, gas hob and electric fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and so on. The lounge opens onto a generous patio/stoep via a huge folding door. The house is fully air-conditioned and has the benefit of a double garage with automatic openers. We have furnished the home with good quality furniture and furnishings to ensure that our guests can enjoy all the comforts of home even when on holiday.
Outside there is a covered stoep (patio) with a built-in Braai (BBQ). The stoep leads onto the gardens with a good sized private pool. There will be ample patio furniture to enable alfresco dining and sun worshipping while you enjoy the mountain views. The villa backs directly onto the 6th fairway. Behind the fairway you can see the river Berg with vineyards and Paarl mountain beyond.

The Western Cape region
The Western Cape of South Africa is acknowledged as one of the most beautiful locations in the world. The scenery is magnificent, dominated by mountain views and endless vineyards. The climate is very similar to southern Spain with very long hot summers (September to May) and short temperate winters (perfect golfing weather). The region is famous for its magnificent flora and fauna and its diverse wildlife - you can watch whales, seals and penguins in their natural environment as well as spotting the occasional wild ostrichs and baboons as you drive through the countryside.
Cape Town / Boschenmeer Paarl area
Amid the picturesque winelands of the Western Cape's historic Paarl/Franschhoek Valley, framed by the majestic Kleine Drakenstein mountains and the famous Paarl Rock, lies an estate beyond compare: This is Boschenmeer. Incredible views over the winelands, a relaxed atmosphere and a tranquil riverside setting are combined with luxury, privacy and security, to create an estate that undisputedly has it all. Golf is the central theme of life on Boschenmeer but that is just the beginning.
Just a 10 minute drive from our property, is the famous town of Franschhoek which is noticeably French in character. Franschoek is the foodies paradise of the southern hemisphere; a jamboree for the bon viveur and it wont cost you an arm and a leg!
After all that eating and drinking you will probably feel like some exercise. Why not take a mountain walk or horseback ride along countless miles of forest and mountain tracks? The more adventurous may wish to hire a mountain bike or even go rock climbing. If that all sounds far too energetic, how about fly fishing in the various lakes and rivers of the region?
Boschenmeer is just 30 minutes from Cape Town the Mother City. Cape Town is dominated by Table Mountain, which is a must to enjoy the spectacular views of 2 oceans and the city laid out below you. Cape Town is a modern, thriving, cosmopolitan city that’s exciting to visit, with a normal range of museums, shopping malls and other visitor attractions. They even boast a casino. Just about everyone spends some time at the newly developed Victoria and Albert Waterfront, where there are more restaurants than you would ever have time to sample, with food from just about every corner of the world. The friendly seal population can also be spotted whilst you dine looking out over the water. There are numerous boating excursions leaving from the waterfront including a ferry to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated. Game fishing is also on offer. The Aquarium is a five minute stroll and well worth a visit. There is a constantly changing programme of events happening by the waterfront; one minute trick cyclists and mime artists, the next a gospel choir and the next a company of pipers, absolutely fascinating and free! Behind the Waterfront is the most varied, exclusive and interesting selection of shops in Africa.
Shopping is a major attraction and South Africa boasts some of the finest shopping malls in the world, built in the American style, with acres of air-conditioned quality shops, selling goods at prices you could only dream of in Europe.
