Home description

This stunning Southwest Facing Lake Front 220 square meter home in quiet residential area offers warm sunny afternoons and gorgeous sunsets. Lady of the Lake has 10 foot ceilings and a disappearing glass wall that opens onto the screened pool deck to create a tropical living environment! The house will exceed your expectations!

The oversize private pool is electrically heated to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. For the pool and dock area there are 8 lounge chairs, 8 chairs, 2 southern rockers and a love seat all with thick, comfortable cushions. In the screened pool area there is a table and 6 chairs to enjoy your meals at while watching the sunset!

There is a floating dock which allows easy access into the kayaks and is a beautiful spot for relaxing on in a lounge chair.

Amenities: Oversized electric heated private pool, dock, high speed wireless internet, computer, printer, scanner, copier, dvd/vcr, selection of movies, two single kayaks, one double kayak, 4 adult bicycles, life jackets, fishing rod, net and bait container.

Cape Coral is mostly a residential community with very little industry and few high-rises. The home has a dock that you can fish from and catch Snapper, Sheep's Head, Jack and Snooke. There is a fishing rod, net and bait container at Lady of the Lake for your enjoyment. As well there is frequently Manatee in the lake. You will hear the Manatee snort and then see them blow water in the air and then roll in the water. You will see the Mullet fish jumping in the air and splashing into the water. Very entertaining! There are various marinas in the area to rent boats from. Once you are in the gulf, the boating is wonderful and you will see dolphins, birds and many deserted beaches. Golfing is 5 minutes away. Two top of the line single kayaks and one double kayak are included in the rent to enjoy the unspoiled mangroves reached easily from the house. We provide handouts with directions to the different routes you can take in the mangroves. We have seen Wild Boar walking on the paths, hundreds of fish in the water, turtles in the water and many, many species of birds including the Rose Spoonbill. There are books at the house which will help you identify the many fish and birds.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region

The house is on a small lake called Ceitus Lake which in turn is connected by canal to the mangroves (tropical trees with roots propelling into the water) and in turn to the ocean. You can rent a boat from Four Winds Marina on Pine Island and they do full day, half day, three quarter day and weekly rentals. You will see dolphins, manatee (large round tropical aquatic mammal), fabulous waterfowl (a bird watchers delight), secluded beaches and delightful seaside restaurants; truly a perfect vacation paradise!

Lady of the Lake is located in Northwest Cape Coral. This is an ideal Gulf access location because the congestion of South Cape Coral and Miserable Mile (another Gulf access) is avoided. If you rent a boat from Pine Island Marina or in the town of Matlacha it would be 1/2 hour ride to Sanibel.

Sanibel and Captiva Islands are wonderful to explore and also Northbound to Boca Grand, Cayo Costa and the island of Cabbage Key. You must have lunch on Cabbage Key!


Cape Coral area

There are beautiful beaches in the Cape Coral area. Cape Coral Beach is a small charming beach that is only 20 minutes from the house. There is Fort Myers Beach that is many miles long, has shops and restaurants and is the full beach experience. It is about 45 minutes away. If you prefer unspoiled beaches, take the ferry to Cayo Costa State Park Island and you will have miles of beach all to yourself.

Sun Splash Family Water Park is located in Cape Coral and is open from mid March to late September (15 minute drive).

There is also the Shell Factory (15 minute drive) which houses a zoo with alligators, etc. as well as amusements such as bumper boats.

Ding Darling wildlife refuge on Sanibel Island is also a wonderful outing.

The Edison Ford Museum in Fort Myers offers a glimpse into the lives of two amazing individuals.

Joe Stonis Park is located at 3444 Ceitus Parkway in the Northwest section of Cape Coral, west of Burnt Store Road and north of Pine Island Road. It is 1.5 miles from Lady of the Lake. The park features picnic shelters with BBQ grills, a fitness trail and wellness trail for all ability levels, lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, restrooms, horseshoe pits, two playgrounds and a one-acre lake.

Jim Jeffers Park is located at 2810 SW 3rd Lane Cape Coral and is 1.5 miles from Lady of the Lake. A nice bike ride!! Park hours of operation: 8:00 a.m. to sunset, year round. Amenities Include: A mega structure playground, four soccer fields, softball field, tennis courts, basketball courts, a three-acre lake, walking paths, picnic shelters, restrooms, concession building, pavilion, bike racks, drinking fountains and lighting.

The "back in time" fishing/artist town of Matlacha is a 5 minute drive from the house and has great art galleries, souvenir shops and restaurants.

Lady of the Lake is a home on the water in southwest Florida and is located in the northwest portion of Cape Coral. It is 30 minutes north of Naples, two hours south of Tampa, 2 1/2 hours west of Miami and 2 1/2 hours south of Disney World! Several airlines have daily flights to Fort Myers Airport which is 35 minutes away from the house.

We are about 15 minutes from the midpoint bridge. The access is very easy because we are just off Veterans Parkway, which then takes you right off the bridge and into Fort Myers.

The Fort Myers Airport is a new, very small airport with only one terminal and is very easy to arrive and depart from.

The house is a 5 minute drive from the "back in time" fishing village of Matlacha which has many galleries, restaurants and shops!

Car rentals are available at the airport.

There is a third full bath with shower, sink and toilet between second and third bedrooms. Kitchen has table and chairs that looks out to pool and lake. There is also a large dining room table and chairs. Large television, DVD/VCR, radio and CD player in living room. The living room sofa is a queen size hide-a-bed. Child booster seat and infant playpen/crib provided.

Bed sizes: Twin/single is 39 inches x 75 inches or 99 cm x 190 cm Queen is 60 inches x 80 inches or 152 cm x 203 cm King is 72 inches x 84 inches or 182 cm x 213 cm.

The master suite has a desk and chair with free high speed wireless internet access connection, personal computer, scanner, copier and printer. The desk looks out to the pool area and has a beautiful view of the lake!

Electric grill on pool deck for barbecues. Air-conditioning as well as fans in all rooms and over the pool deck area. The pool area is screen covered.

Private locked garage is attached to house for single car parking. Additional parking in driveway.

A huge Publix grocery store which also sells wine and beer and has a pharmacy is only a 2 minute drive from the house. It is open 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. 7 days a week. There is the Tropicaya fruit stand/market selling fresh fruits, herbs, vegetables, newspapers, homemade mango preserves, ice cream and souvenirs a 3 minute drive away. It is open Monday to Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Try their homemade key lime pie!

There is a UPS store near Publix grocery where you can buy postage stamps, envelopes, cards, mail letters and parcels and fax messages.

Tanger Outlet Mall is on the way to Fort Myers Beach. Miromar Outlet Mall with over 120 stores, restaurants and shaded walkways is near the airport. A Superstore Wal-mart open 24 hours, 7 days a week which sells groceries, clothing, toiletries anything you can think of is also near the airport if you need to stop for anything before heading to the house. There is also a Wal-mart Grocery Market Centre very close to the house on Pine Island Road which is open 24 hours and sells groceries, toiletries and has a pharmacy. Pine Island Road offers a wonderful array of restaurants, stores and businesses such as chiropractic, massage and physiotherapy.
