The New England / Massachusetts region
There are times when you need to escape. Forget your worries. Act like a kid again. Those times call for a trip to the Cape or one of the islands.
Each locale offers sun-splashed beaches and a laid-back attitude, yet all are unique in their own right.
Famous for its rolling dunes and gable-roofed, grey-shingled houses, Cape Cod is where you'll find outdoor activities and loads of fun family attractions.
Take the time to find yourself on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, where all that matters is what matters to you.
The Cape Cod / South Yarmouth area
The Cape Cod lies south of Boston on the East Coast of the United States.
In the mid-19th century Cape Cod became a popular summer vacation destination for wealthy families living in Boston and Providence. Today Cape Cod is the premier vacation resort in New England.
Cape Cod is the place for wide, sandy beaches with beautiful dunes, lighthouses, sea captains’ homes, fishing villages, seafood (particularly oysters, clams, and lobsters), cranberries, and numerous recreational opportunities.
Cape Cod’s beaches are considered among the best in the world, especially those along the Cape Cod National Seashore, a 40-mile stretch of unspoiled sandy beach in Outer Cape Cod. With 559.6 miles of unspoiled coastline, Cape Cod offers many beautiful sandy beaches for you to enjoy. Beaches on the Cape Cod Bay north side may have cooler water temperatures than the warmer waters of the south facing beaches of Nantucket Sound.
Cape Cod tests all public bathing beach waters. Monitoring results from previous seasons indicate exceptional water quality on Cape Cod, and the Cape Cod National Seashore beaches are part of the Blue Wave Campaign for quality.
Water sports are very popular on the Cape. Canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, snorkelling, swimming - find the best way to make your perfect day! Perhaps, you will take a whale watching excursion, enjoy a few hours of beach combing, and go fishing by your own or on a chartered cruise.
Cape Cod is a unique place for nature lovers, bird-watchers, hikers and whale watchers, sailors and surf casters. In 1961 a significant portion of the east-facing Atlantic coast of Cape Cod was made part of the Cape Cod National Seashore by President John F. Kennedy. Large portions are open to the public.
Although the Cape experiences a tourist explosion each summer, Cape Cod is virtually a year-round resort. No matter the season, Cape Cod beaches can always be walked, the bike trails enjoyed, and golf courses played.
The geography of Cape Cod resembles a flexed arm that thrusts out into the Atlantic Ocean. It owes its origin to glaciers that were active in the area. Over time, these glacier deposits became reshaped by waves and nearby ocean currents. Cape Cod is divided into a number of different sections. Each section or town on the Cape has something unique about it – natural beauty, the arts, history and recreational pursuits. The Cape is about 70 miles long and is often subdivided into six main regions: Upper-Cape, Mid-Cape, Lower-Cape, Outer-Cape and the Islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

We loved the house and the facilities. Although the house is spacious it wasn't too big for us as a couple. Plenty of separate areas to relax in which would suit our family next time. This was our third time staying in a house owned by the Bizunoks and we knew exactly what to expect. Everything generously provided in the house. We were very close to the beach and shops on a quiet residential road. It was a most successful holiday. |

Guestbook for Beach House w/Water View!
'I think, we found a perfect vacation home!
We were really lucky to find this property. This place has everything you could think of and more.
The best thing is, of course, the location. The house is just a 2-3 minutes walk from the beach. We carried all our beach staff with us and didn't get tired.
The house itself was very clean and had everything we needed: 2 huge TVs, wireless internet, washer and drier, fully stocked kitchen, new linens and towels. And the staff is not chip. It looks like linens, towels, bathroom soaps, kitchen utensils came from some expensive stores like Macy's and such.
The house has a game table in the lower level. We had a blast playing pool and air hockey!
My personal favourite was the porch. It is huge! It had a patio furniture set, an extra table with chairs, a new grill, and there was still enough space left for children to run around.
The owners of the property are very nice, friendly. Alex made sure that we knew about nice restaurants and things to do in the area. With his help we found a nice little bakery, with the best breakfast pastries, on the street that goes along the ocean.
I would highly recommend this property and we are definitely going to return there next summer.

'Large Cape House, Beautiful View, Great Location!
Plenty of room in this house for a larger group. 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. One full bathroom upstairs and one downstairs. Huge dining room with a large table and two living rooms, each with a flat panel TV. The air hockey/pool table was fun too.
As the previous reviewer wrote, my favourite part of the house is the HUGE deck, with tons of patio furniture, large gas grill, and beautiful water view . We also had fun playing horse shoes in the back yard.
Another great thing about this house is the location. Hyannis is minutes away, and Route 28 is very close. Tons of restaurants and shops very close to the house. We especially appreciated that, since we stayed the last weekend in September. Things start to close for the season then, on other parts of the Cape.
The beach is real close too, but we did not get a chance to go to the beach. We did enjoy golfing and fishing while we were there though. Both were close to the house.
