This beach front villa in Rochelongue, near Grau d'Agde has the most enviable position, with steps going down to a long white sandy beach. Few houses in Languedoc or even on the French Mediterranean coast can boast a position such as this. Exceptionally well situated, with sea views to take your breath away - on a clear day you can see the majestic Pyrenees (sometimes still snow-covered in May) and even Cap Creus in Spain, this house is a haven of well-designed tranquillity.
The Villa was built in the 50's, and does have that slightly 'Corbusier' feel to it. It was completely re-designed and overhauled in 2007, and has contemporary interiors, as well as a huge wooden-decked terrace floating above the water line. An exposed modern wooden beamed structure with it's high ceilings enhances the already airy living room space.
It has 2 terraces, one of which is accessed via the living room and the other one is covered and has a contemporary outside 'dining-room'.
There is a large garden with some old vines, and the property is gated, so one can park 2 cars inside the property gates.
The 'house beach' rarely gets crowded even in July and August simply because there is no public parking near the house. In June and September it is almost private.
A ten minute walk along the beach will bring you to boulangeries, cafes and restaurants either in Grau d'Agde or Rochelongue.
