Home description
Plum Cottage is one of a pair of new barn conversions in a lovely peaceful setting in glorious countryside on the North Downs and yet within just a few miles of motorway connections and the Channel Tunnel for visits to France.
The cottage has been finished to the highest of standards with a lovely double height reception room giving a light and spacious feel to the living space. The comfy sofas and log burning stove give a really cosy feel to this pretty room. The kitchen has limed oak units and granite work surfaces very much in keeping with the stylish ‘farmhouse’ feel of the cottage.
Upstairs there is a charming bedroom with twin beds in the eaves of the cottage giving views across the surrounding countryside.
There is a sunny patio garden to the front of the cottage with seating for four and a barbeque for those lazy summer days.
The cottage has use of a heated swimming pool (summer only as outside pool) and tennis court (available daily from 2pm - 5pm.) It is a charming cottage in an idyllic setting and would make your stay truly memorable.

Kent is in the South-East of England and consists of many important districts such as Dartford, Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury and Dover.
Arts: Canterbury inspired Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and William Golding worked in Maidstone.
Transport: Kent is easily accessible by road, sea or rail. Indeed, Dover is the closest point to France and remains a hub for ferry travel to the rest of Europe.
Tourist Attractions: Canterbury Cathedral Chartwell, Winston Churchill's home Deal Castle Dover Castle Leeds Castle Rochester Castle Coldrum Stones Brockhill Country Park
This is an area of the UK which contains many walking and cycling routes as well as over 1000 years of history.
Canterbury / Faversham area
The cottage is part of the Torry Hill Estate and holidaymakers will have full use of the estate and its 30 km of woodland paths and bridle paths. On the estate there is an established circular walk through the elegant parkland and along a Victorian carriage drive. In the Spring the bluebell woods and blossom from the cherry orchards are a sight to see!
There is a riding stable nearby for horse riding and mountain bikes are available for hire together with maps of recommended routes through the estate’s woodland. In addition clay pigeon shooting can be organised by prior arrangement at a cost of £35 per person plus cost of cartridges - please contact us for further details as this needs to be booked well in advance of your stay.
The county town of Maidstone is 9 miles away to the north with the historic cathedral city of Canterbury within 25 minutes. Access to the Channel Tunnel is at junction 12 of M20 and it can be reached in half an hour - crossings take 35 minutes. Bookings can be made via the link on our website. For day trips to London, there is a regular service every half hour from Sittingbourne which takes about an hour.
