Home description
Crow Cottage is a charming detached brick and flint cottage in an idyllic rural setting surrounded by fields yet within a mile of the pretty village of Eastling. It is the ideal getaway approached down a long farm track and utterly hidden from view with only a farmhouse nearby.
The owners have sympathetically restored the cottage with ‘Shaker’ style kitchen, conservatory/breakfast room overlooking the terrace area and surrounding orchard. The pretty beamed sitting room has comfy leather sofas and a logburning stove which give a comfy and cosy feel to this charming room.
There is a terrace area to the rear of the house with a gravel parking area, and the cottage is surrounded by an old orchard, which you are welcome to walk in. The renowned village gastro pub is within easy walking distance.
This really is a lovely ‘getaway’ far from the madding crowd for a peaceful break away from the cares of the world.

The South East England / Kent region
Kent is in the South-East of England and consists of many important districts such as Dartford, Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury and Dover.
Arts: Canterbury inspired Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and William Golding worked in Maidstone.
Transport: Kent is easily accessible by road, sea or rail. Indeed, Dover is the closest point to France and remains a hub for ferry travel to the rest of Europe.
Tourist Attractions: Canterbury Cathedral Chartwell, Winston Churchill's home Deal Castle Dover Castle Leeds Castle Rochester Castle Coldrum Stones Brockhill Country Park
This is an area of the UK which contains many walking and cycling routes as well as over 500 years of history.
Canterbury / Faversham area
The cottage is situated about a mile from the pretty rural village of Eastling. The attractive market town of Faversham is within five miles which has all the amenities of a good sized town including a swimming pool and the cathedral city of Canterbury is about ten miles away.
As the cottage is on the North Downs there are lots of lovely walks and bridle paths with a selection of rustic pubs on the way. The area is very unspoilt with narrow lanes, many orchards and hop fields so typical of this area of Kent. There are numerous places to visit from the vineyards of Biddenden to the wonderful cinque port coastal towns with their mix of smuggling and castles and of course on your doorstep the wonderful Belmont Estate with its beautiful grounds.
Day trips to France are easy and take as little as 35 minutes. There are many routes to chose from including the channel ports of Folkestone and Dover, the Channel Tunnel or by train from Ashford International, all within a 30 minutes drive of the cottage.
