Home description
Court Farm is an attractive white washed period house dating from the mid 1800’s with pretty shuttered windows and wonderful views across the surrounding countryside – a real get away from it all location!
The owners have just refurbished the farmhouse to a very high standard to offer the most comfortable of holiday accommodation. The rooms are all of a good size with a particular feature being the sunny conservatory, with dining table and seating. This leads off the spacious traditional farmhouse kitchen giving a real sense of space and light to the house.
There is also more formal seating in the sitting room grouped around the working period fireplace – an ideal place to snuggle up on those winter days! The walks from the house are wonderful with miles of footpaths dotted through the fields of crops that surround the farmhouse. The nearest pub is in the village of Stourmouth – about a mile across the fields – or two in the car! With the villages of Wingham and Preston about 2 miles both with popular pubs and restaurants.
There are five double bedrooms (one with double bed) and two bathrooms and there is a high chair and cot available if required.
The farmhouse has parking for up to four cars on the driveway and the garden is fully enclosed. There is also a games room equipped with a pool table and dart board.

The South East England / Kent region
Kent is in the South-East of England and consists of many important districts such as Dartford, Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury and Dover.
Arts: Canterbury inspired Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and William Golding worked in Maidstone.
Transport: Kent is easily accessible by road, sea or rail. Indeed, Dover is the closest point to France and remains a hub for ferry travel to the rest of Europe.
Tourist Attractions: Canterbury Cathedral Chartwell, Winston Churchill's home Deal Castle Dover Castle Leeds Castle Rochester Castle Coldrum Stones Brockhill Country Park
This is an area of the UK which contains many walking and cycling routes as well as over 500 years of history.
Canterbury area
Elmstone is a pretty hamlet with lovely medieval church between the villages of Ash and Preston. Both villages have general stores and public houses with further eateries in Wingham and Stourmouth. The area is surrounded by water meadows and rivers, and is renowned for its wonderful walks through bluebell woods in the Spring and the wildlife that abound in this low lying area.
The farmhouse is well placed to take advantage of both the extensive coast and the many historic sights scattered throughout the area. Canterbury is 8 miles to the West where there are two theatres, an excellent new shopping centre and all the historic attractions you would expect of such a lovely medieval city. To the east is the wonderful coastland of East Kent, with its mix of large shallow bays, sandy and pebbly beaches and the many medieval castles that are so much part of the history of this stretch of England. France can easily be seen and day trips take under an hour from either the port of Dover (8 miles) or from the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone (12 miles).
For golfers there are several championship courses close by including Royal St Georges at Sandwich (6 miles) and Cinque Ports at Deal (8 miles). Being in the garden of England, there are many farmers markets and organic suppliers in the local villages with produce being able to be bought direct from the growers as well (the nearest farm shop is in Preston 2 miles away).
