Home description
Mill House Lodge has just been refurbished to offer stylish living within a few miles of the cathedral city of Canterbury. The cottage is in a truly peaceful setting among the water meadows to the east of Canterbury. The countryside is stunning, with many walks along the river and lakeside banks and through the bluebell woods making a truly rural retreat, yet the vibrant city of Canterbury with its theatres, heritage and bustling shopping centre is within 4 miles.
The cottage itself has been stylishly furnished in creams and aquas. As the main room is south facing with a lovely double height ceiling, the sun streams through the large windows giving a wonderful feeling of light to this pretty room. There are two leather sofas with a contemporary fireplace completing the scene. The two bedrooms (one twin, one double) have been charmingly furnished in a contemporary style with good quality furnishings throughout.

A special feature of Ickham is the exclusive Tor Spa Retreat, open daily for those luxurious treatments - a lovely relaxing treat!

This leads through to an inner hallway with two storage cupboards - one is a double sized hanging cupboard and the other has shelving. The two bedrooms lead off this inner hallway. One bedroom has twin beds and the other a white wrought iron double bed - both have stylish white furniture throughout.
The shower room includes a good sized corner shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
Further details outdoors: The patio area is a real sun spot with seating and a barbeque. A particular feature is the conservatory/summer house with wrought iron furniture, ideal for those cooler days and summer evenings.
Outside there is a lovely enclosed garden with fruit trees, a sunny sitting area and parking for several cars on the driveway. A particular feature is the conservatory overlooking the garden for those cooler days. This is a truly special cottage in a lovely peaceful setting yet just a few miles from both Canterbury and the beaches at Sandwich and Whistable.
Please note the cottage is accessed from an unmade up road which is a bit pot holey so care will need to be taken.
