Home description
Bankside will be newly redecorated prior to letting and is a comfortable family home with central heating. There will be new furnishings and equipment making it perfect for a break at any time of year.
As it is so close to the city centre, is on a bus route and walking distance to mainline station there is no need for a car. There is also a major supermaket only a few minutes walk away and a leisure centre with swimming pool even closer. To reach the city centre you walk mostly along the river where you can see many trout, often pike and sometimes kingfishers.
The location makes it possible to go the city centre in the morning and the beach in the afternoon.100 yards to local shop, 200 yards to leisure centre with swimming pool and 400 yards to major supermarket. Both Canterbury Universities are close by and a 16th century pub 10 minutes walk. The sandy beaches of Margate, Broadstairs & Sandwich are about a 20 minutes drive. Whitstable and the traditional seaside town of Herne Bay are closer still.
The garden is enclosed and sunny all day so perfect for children and for barbecues.

Further details outdoors: Bankside is at the top of a steeply banked front garden, well above the road which is hardly visible from the house and offers views over trees to the city. The river is glimpsed just beyond the road.
There are steps leading from this road up to the front garden and door. However, the usual access is via the back garden from a quiet residential road at the rear of the house where there is almost level access and off-road parking for a car, possible two if small.
The front garden is separated from the back by a high gate. The pleasant, fenced back garden has a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue and has the sun for most of the day. Both gardens are laid to grass with mature trees and shrubs.
