Quintessential English country cottage, near Canterbury

House | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 12

Key Info
  • Great for children of all ages
  • No pets allowed

Higham Farmhouse is offered in a family friendly and stately condition, having been recently refurbished to a high standard. Situated next to a working farm in a lovely unspoilt spot between a Nature reserve and the cathedral city of Canterbury – the best of both worlds!

The three reception rooms have been designed to offer you really comfortable home from home living with care being given to all members of your family. There are two sitting rooms, one a lovely cosy room with log burner and comfortable seating, ideal for a bit of peace and quiet after a busy day or to enjoy a glass of wine. The other is off the kitchen with French doors to the garden and will make a wonderful gathering place for all your party. It is very light and airy, again with a log burner and the doors open onto the sunny patio to the side of the house.

The owners have retained many of the original features with exposed beams and attractive period fireplaces throughout – the lovely inglenook fireplace in the dining room is a particular feature.

The bedrooms are on two floors, all of them really good sized double rooms offering space for all. Three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with a fourth family bathroom.

This is a really comfortable Kent farmhouse and would be a very special place to visit on your vacation or holiday in the beautiful countryside around Canterbury.
