Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Carfax house is really 2 farm labourers cottages which were knocked into 1 in the seventies. It has a large secluded south facing garden mainly laid to lawn with a large patio. The garden is fenced off all around. We have recently added a ground floor en-suite with a wow factor walk in shower. There is cottage kitchen with a range and a large pine table that seats 6 comfortably. The lounge has seating for 6 with 4 seats being recliners. Wi Fi is available throughout the property and garden. There are 3 bedrooms in all, 2 are double , 1 is twin. There is a family bathroom on the 1st floor with bath and shower facilities. Off-road parking for 4 cars. You will love having breakfast on the patio in the mornings as the sun is there from 0800. Please note 1 well behaved dog is welcome. There are lovely walks outside our gate through 250 acres of orchards , it's a dogs dream.

About this location
The Kent region
South East Kent has a very warm climate. As we are on a peninsula we are surrounded by sea on three sides . Hence many beaches. Dover docks is 30 min away great for a day trip to France . Howlets wildlife park us 10 mins away, the Stodmarsh lakes are a haven for birds ideal for twitchers . Canterbury city is 20 mins away with all of its history. All of the Thanet resort towns are within 20 mins away. Broadstairs, Whitstable, Ramsgate, Margate. This is a fantastic location.
The property sits in amongst fruit orchards , including one of apricots on the Stour Valley walk. The river Stour is half a mile away ideal for fishing. There is also great fishing from the local beaches and piers. ( charter boats can also be hired) . The house is opposite a pub restaurant so no need to cook, they also offer a takeaway fish and chips. A bus stop is out side the pub which goes to Canterbury one way and Broadstairs the other. There are many fine restaurants and quaint old English pubs in the area, you will have to explore
