'The Old Fire Station' consists of 2 separate properties within the same compound. The 'Arthouse' is a Grade II listed former Victorian Fire Station located in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Canterbury. This property comprises of 2 Double Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Large Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen. There is also a single sofa bed and another single bed that can be provided.

'Cedar house' is a Luxurious Modern Scandinavian Design cedar clad house located behind the ' Arthouse'.This property is unique in Canterbury as there is nothing else like it. The property is tucked away off the main road behind a former Victorian fire station and comprises of two large bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms and King size beds. The master bedroom is 25ft/ 8m long and has a separate sleeping area with a double sofa bed and balcony overlooking the courtyard. The second bedroom is a garden room overlooking the courtyard and comes with a flat screen T.V. There is also a large reception room 25ft/8m long with 2 Italian leather sofas, flat screen T.V, with satellite digital channels, dvd player and music center with I-pod docking station and a dining area that can seat up to 10 people along with a well equipped Kitchen/ Diner that

seats 4.

A further single bed can be arranged if necessary.

A courtyard garden wraps around the house to give it a very private feel with garden table, chairs and BBQ.

There is also car parking on site for as many as 3/4 cars.

As well as the historic attractions of Canterbury, there are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. The trendy fishing village of Whitstable is only 10 min drive away, famed for its oysters and sea food or the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Broadstairs and stunning Botany Bay beach(England's best kept secret) only 20 min drive. Closer to Canterbury are ancient woodlands, 2 fantastic wildlife parks and plenty of idyllic country villages and pubs serving local Fayre. Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustines Abbey are both UNESCO world heritage sites along with the Westgate Towers, the medieval entrance to the city which is over six centuries old. You can visit Chaucer's Canterbury tales museum or take a historic river tour of the city. Further afield there is Hever, Dover, Bodiam and Leeds castle and rail links to London. The lovely medievel hilltop town of rye is only 1 hours drive away as well as the huge sweeping beach at Camber sands with its amazing sand dunes. you will not be short of things to do.

"Great location - needs a (little) bit of TLC"

We rented both properties for 4 couples for a long weekend. Location is perfect for visiting Canterbury, can walk anywhere. Be prepared to juggle cars in long drive as exit is on to a slightly busy ro… More

"todo perfecto tal cual lo acordado comodo y muy cerca del tren"

la casa es pefecta y sobretodo para ir con chicos. todas las comodidades. ideal para ir con chicos. a 5 cuadras de la estacion del tren que va a londres. a 4 cuadras del super y a 9 cuadras del centro. lo recomiendo y volveria a esta casa sin dudar. tengan en cuant que el dptador en lobdres como todo es distinto al resto de europa
