Located right in the charming, Old Port (Vieux Port) central area of Cannes, our large apartment boasts a huge,(40 sq. m), south-facing terrace giving an unspoilt, close view of the sea and lower Cannes - an amazing, panoramic view stretching from the mountains of le Californie, to the ancient hilltop church of the Old town ( Le Suquet).
The property is ideally and centrally located, with the beaches along the Croisette, (both public and paying) the lovely shops of the Rue d'Antibes and, of course, the many restaurants of all kinds of the Old Port, the Palais de Festivals, the splendid open market, Le Marché de Forville, and Le Suquet, (the Old Town), all within 3-12 minutes walk.
We can sleeping up to 6 since, Immediately next-door is our studio with its own bathroom, sleeping 2 more. The studio has its own, north terrace, bathroom and Sony TV and DVD with the French channels.. It may be rented separately on request..
The main apartment has 2 double, air-conditioned bedrooms, (one of which can configured as 2 times single), a large bathroom, a large living & dining area and a small kitchen. The 25 sq.m., next-door studio, (not with air-conditioning, but fan) adds another double or twin bedroom and ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Wi-fi and multi-language television are included.
No smoking is allowed in the bedrooms.
On entering our light and spacious apartment, and will be instantly drawn to the magnificent view from the living area and the very large terrace. The spacious, living area also offers a comfortable space to relax and unwind. Although there is no air-conditioning in this room, the large windows that open out onto the terrace make it light and airy. It is quiet on the 8th and top floor, and with no neighbours above, There is broadband throughout and a television with multi-language freeview channels. On one side of the room, is a dignified, dining area, on the other a group area with coffee table and three comfy armchairs
The kitchen is small, 1950-s style, but well equipped with a microwave, which also works as an oven, a gas cooker with oven, and a fridge/freezer. There is enough crockery for 6 guests. Again it has plenty of light, and it also opens onto its own smaller terrace, with a dazzling view of the Californie hills, jewelled with lights at night
The main apartment has 2 bedrooms, one opens directly onto the terrace and the sea, through sliding, glass doors, and the second bedroom opens towards the north side of the property and onto the town and the hills. In the first bedroom is is a large, double bed (that can separate into two single beds) lots of cupboard space and air-conditioning. The second bedroom, also air-conditioned, has a very comfortable double bed. It also has good cupboard space (and a TV and DVD can be moved in when the studio is unused).
The huge (40 sq. m) terrace on the sea is very impressive, whether you are watching the open sea and sky , like a moving, changing painting, yachts and cruise liners pull into the port in the daytime, or the mountains flittering with light in the evenings. It is equipped with several deckchairs and loungers.
Madame Désirée Reic, our charming friend in Cannes will meet you, give you keys, and provide any holiday information you need.
The bathroom is is very spacious and is located between these rooms, and is fitted with a W.C, bidet, shower and bath.The studio has its own bathroom with basin, bath & shower. There is a second bathroom with basin only at the moment.
Of a group of over 4 people, 2 people must use the immediately, next-door studio. The studio kitchen has microwave, plates, glasses & cutlery, but no 'fridge, stove or washing machine). The studio receives broadband from next-door, a Sony TV and DVD, and receives French channels only. Full facilities are, however, available in the main flat next door.

We are on the 8th floor of a middle-class apartment building in an ideal location in Cannes, with a pnaoramic sea view from large balconies. There is a lift (elevator), of course. From our apartment to the beaches is 5 minutes walk, as are the shops, restaurant and supermarket. Right nearby us is the Old Port (Vieux Port), the shopping on the Rue d'Antibes, the wonderful, outdoor market,the Marché Forville, and many, many teriffic restaurants. The Palais des Festivals and the famous Croisette is 5 minutes walk away.
