About the home

Villa Serpolette is one of Cannes best kept secrets. Just of the Rue Velasquez, this villa is nested in a large, beautifully kept garden. There are tables and chairs were you can sun bathe, enjoy summer nights in the garden and maybe even have relaxed meetings under the parasol.

As you enter the house you enter a "solarium" that overlooks the garden, with Moroccan sofas and plush cushions. Here is an ideal relaxing area after a busy day.

On the first floor there are many living spaces. Plenty of tables and chairs to hold meetings, or have large meals. There is a large separate kitchen, and bathroom facilities. This first floor is easily made independent should you wish to entertain or hold a party.

Going down one floor (onto street level) there is a "loft" space. This area has been designed to be light and spacious offering a private bathroom and office space (here you can have a video projector and use the white wall as a screen...) This floor can also be made independent and have street access.

Going back up to the second floor, here you may find three additional bedrooms. The main bedroom boasts a large double bed, has a private balcony overlooking the garden, and its own private shower room.

The "wicker" room is beautifully decorated with wicker and iron cast furniture. Also boasting a large double bed and exceptional views from the windows.

The third room has three single beds, the rooms design is very simple yet stylish. Both the "wicker room" and this room share a bathroom. However there is a separate lavatory on the landing. Just to make this floor that little bit more convenient, there is a little kitchenette where you can prepare breakfasts, or even a meal. The whole floor can be shut off from the rest of the house rendering it an ideal three bedroom retreat.

Additionally there is an annex to the villa with two additional rooms with sleeping for three and a private kitchen and bathroom. On the other side of the house there is an extra room ideal for either storage or a maid / nanny.
The villa is only 2minutes away from the Croisette walking past the Martinez Hotel. The Palais des festivals is about a 7minute walk away, either going down the famous Rue D'Antibes shopping street or down the croisette.

There is Internet access and the villa has been designed to be exceptionally cool in summer reducing the need for air-conditioning. In all aspects, and whatever the reason for your stay in Cannes, Villa Serpolette is sure to make your stay extra special.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Cote d’Azur is also known as the French Riviera and is on the Mediterranean coastline of Southern France. The region offers different types of scenic holidays for everyone – from visiting parts of the countryside, or staying near the Mediterranean beachside, or enjoy the breathtaking Alps, you will cherish every part this region has to offer.

The Southern Alps’ offers stupendous resorts that are curtailed to any age group and any ski level. If you want to try something daring, there is diving under ice at the Orcières 1850 ski resort.

Cycling trails can be found throughout the region for those who love to cycle and enjoy riding the scenic route whilst on holiday. The ”Véloroute du Calavon" is one of the famous 18 km trail in the town of Saint Martin de Castillon, that is found to be adventurous and enjoyable.

For the sight-seers, there is the must see historic centre of Avignon, the Roman monuments of Arles, the Roman theatre of Orange and Mont Ventoux.

Museums are renowned in this region and some to see would be the Picasso Museum in Antibes, the Modern Art Museum in Nice, the Fondation Maeght in St. Paul (that is said to be one of the best modern art museums in the area), the Musée Archeologique in Nice and the Musée Océanographique in Monaco.

Don’t forget to see the Nice Opera House and visit the seasonal Jazz festivals that take place along the coast!

The Cannes area

The city of Cannes offers a wide variety of tourist attractions for different interests. There are the the exquisite beaches and parks for scenic options, the unique churches, the splendid museums, historical buildings and famous shopping.

La Croisette is commonly known for its promenade, fashion and designer name shops. Numerous crystal clear beaches surround the main walking road of this area, so you can take a relaxing stroll while enjoying the various shops Cannes has to offer.

Some museums to see in Cannes would be the Musée de la Castre that is in a medieval castle and has archeological, prehistoric and ethnographic art collections. Musée de la mer has a vast collection of aquatic plants and animals and underwater archaeology.

Don’t forget to visit the notorious film festival of Cannes and the famous Palais des Festivals, where movie stars meet to watch the screening and premiers of films.

Îles de Lérins is a phenomenal tourist attraction. It is two islands in the bay that can be reached by ferry. The smaller island has a ruined castle and monastery and the large island has various shops, restaurants, and a castle as well. There is snorkeling available in some parts of the islands.
