The house is built on 3 floors with a large bedroom and bathroom to the ground floor, the main living / dining area, kitchen and additional toilet to the 2nd floor and the 2nd bedroom on the 3rd floor. The roof terrace is also located on the 3rd floor.

The pretty white village of Canillas de Albaida nestles in the Sierra Tejada moutains. Village amenities includes a choice of supermarkets, bars and restaurants, in addition to a local Pharmacy, Bank and swimming pool. Through the vineyards, orange and lemon groves can be found the larger village of Competa which has a further range of amenities.

The house provides an idea location to explore the stunning country side, mountains and the nearby coast of the Costa del Sol.

Ground floor bedroom with double bed, 2 bedside cabinets and triple door wardrobe with plenty of hanging and drawer space.

Ground floor bathroom with full sized bath and combined shower, wash basin and vanity unity, and WC, furnished in traditional style.

Second floor spacious open plan living space with dining area, lounge area and kitchen. The kitchen is new and fully equipped with all mod cons. The lounge has two comfortable sofas, and is equipped with satellite TV and i-pod docking station and the dining area seats 4 comfortably. The 2nd WC and washroom is also located on this floor.

Third floor host a bedroom with double bed, bedside cabinet and chest of drawers with ample storage.

Fans and oil filled radiators are also available in the house.

The roof terrace is accessed from the third floor and has a range of contemporary furniture which includes table and 4 chairs, large parasol and deck chairs.

The roof terrace has wonderful views down the valley to the sea and also to the village. The house itself is located in a typical narrow village street with parking to the road 10 meters away.

The Andalucia region

Although set in a peaceful rural village, the beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol, for example Nerja, are within 25 minutes drive of this property. Here you can take advantage of the many leisure activities including sailing, diving, and water skiing. The city of Malaga is within one hours drive or can be reached using the local bus service. The cathedral and the Picasso Museum are within walking distance of the bus terminus as are many boutique shops and street side cafes. The stunning city of Granada is within a two hour drive of the village.

Canillas De Albaida

Surrounded by mountains and spectacular scenery, Canillas and Competa are traditional Moorish villages, with lots of charm and character, stroll around the narrow streets in the villages past the old houses with their flower filled balconies and visit the tradiitional Plaza's where you can watch the 'world go by' whilst enjoying a drink or tapas.

"Lovely house in a spectacular setting"

This is a really delightful house and village. You get an experience of the true Spain - as far away from the "Costas" experience that you can imagine. The locals are really lovely, friendly people who will always say hello. The village is well placed. The coast is 30 mins away. Burriana beach at Nerja is our favourite. It offers a good sandy beach, free parking, numerous clean toilet facilities and a good range of bars, restaurants and shops. Further afield Granada, Seville and Cordoba are within a 2.5 hours drive. However, the real magic of the place lies in its scenery, with a beautiful national park standing at the back of the village providing numerous walking opportunities. There are numerous other white towns to visit. I can particularly recommend Sedella. The drive over the mountain to Lake Vinuela will take you through incredible scenery and also past the towns of Salares, Sedella and Canillas de Aceituno.

The village itself is lovely just to potter about its quaint streets and to experience the sights and sounds of a Spanish village. There is a good sized municipal swimming pool. There are a number of good bars and restaurants. I can really recommend Las Esperillas bar at the top of the village ran by a guy called Ramon. The food is amazing and the welcome friendly and the prices reasonable. The village also has a couple of well stocked reasonable shops.

The house is beautiful with good quality furnishing and fittings. The view from the terrace is incredible. It also offers very good value for money. It is very well placed in the village on a very pretty street with easy access to the local shops.

I don't very often go to the same place twice but I have been here 4 times in 18 months! It is a truly special place and one which you will fall in love with.
