The property is on two levels, both with independent access, making it ideal for two families who wish to holiday together retaining some privacy.
Lower level:Living room, Kitchen/dining area, 1 double en suite bedroom (incl. bathroom), with access to a lovely inner courtyard with stone oven. Attached to the lower level property is the central large terrace including gas-BBQ, large table and parasol. In the evenings it is great to gather around and enjoy the tranquility in the warm evening sun.
Upper level: Living room, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms 1 double 1 twin (suitable for children due to low headroom at one end). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.Open sided stairs with low ceiling to second floor: 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room with toilet. Elec heating inc. satelite TV, DVD, M/wave, W/machine, two separate balconies.
It is advisable to bring your own towels for the beach as those provided are for house and pool use only.
The Andalucia region
The house is set set in the beautiful province of Andalucia, within the Axarquía region. It is one of the most beautiful inland routes in Malaga province, where the road climbs up to the Axarquía region, passing the area´s hub of Vélez-Málaga before encountering the spectacular limestone mountains of the Sierras of Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park. Sheltering in these mountains and its foothills are the attractive villages of Canillas de Aceituno, Frigiliana, Cómpeta, Colmenar and Comares.
Year round the climate is mild to warm where you can enjoy a holiday any time of the year.
There are many other fascinating places to visit including the ancient city of Ronda, Picasso's birthplace Malaga and for luxury Marbella is not too far (1,5 hours by car).
Canillas de Aceituno
Close to the outskirts of Pasada de Granadillos where Los Capitos is situated there are great walking tracks. Walking is a very nice activity round this area, with unique flora and fauna.
There are five signposted driving routes in the Axarquía region, named the Mudejar route (passing through villages noted for their architecture); the Raisin Route (referring to the drying out of the famous moscatel grape grown locally); the Oil and Mountains Route; the Sun and Avocado Route; and the Sun and Wine Route.
In the summer you have a variety of stunning beaches all within easy reach, the nearest being Torre del Mar (15-20 mins by car)..

We visited the house for the second time, which is unusual for us. This place is really beautiful, perfectly located in the valley, just a really short walk down from the parking. Of course the highlight of the property is the totally private pool with great views!
The owner of the property was very helpful and friendly. He send us a document by e-mail with al the information about the house and how to find it, which is actually really easy.
Try the safari lounge restaurant in torre del mar, great steaks! Or just hang around at the big terrace with lemon trees and the bbq.
We'll definetly visit this place for our third time!

"Good holiday for walkers!"
This is nicely equipped house, but found it very hard to get too. We arrived at dusk and because this house is not on the road of the village, we found it very hard to find. It is down a very steep … More
Thank you for posting your comments, the slope down to the house is pretty steep and we were sorry to hear that you had difficulty getting up and down we are now in the process of putting in some steps. We haven't thought about it before because most of the elderly locals seem to gallop up and down what is a very short distance with no problem. Once there it must be pointed out that each of the houses is on a separate level which makes it ideal for large groups or different families who wish to holiday together but keep some privacy. There are no stairs in the lower house so for anyone with limited mobility this is more appropriate. You will be pleased to hear that since your visit there are now easy parking spaces that have been created close to the house making access very straightforward. In addition we have planted extensively around the pool and now whilst preserving the stunning views down the valley the pool is completely secluded. Thank you again for your comments and of course we would love to welcome you to the house another time when I hope you will enjoy all that this house has to offer. Kind regards

"Beautifull location, quite, peaceful and very well equipped"
We have rented the lower- and the upper house with our children and grandchild.
Accommodation was ideal for 6 adults and the young couple with the child could easily have their privacy if required.
The view on the valley is absolute very relaxing and beautiful and a swimming pool was in very well maintained condition.
At our arrival, the fridge in both houses was filled with food and drinks in such a way that we could prepare a decent meal without finding a supermarket first.
Houses were typical Spanish , but with a comfortable interior. The most important place is the central terrace on which you can sit for hours with a bbq or a good game.
There is also immediate support available if something needs to be fixed or taken care off in the house.
Absolutely a place to go back.

"Once you've been here you want to come back"
Perfect place for friends or couple who want to relax. People who enjoy nature don't have to leave the property. From the swimming pool you can see the eagles flying by. We've been here 3 times, everytime we want to visit a city or nature parc. But once we sit on the terrace we just don't want to leave. We seldom did.

"Serenity in a fantastic area for everyone"
Enjoyed a week in this beautiful house with friends. Located in a beautiful mountain area.
The house spacious and well equipped and very suitable for groups. Enjoyed the private pool and the numerous terraces that surround the house. Great beaches nearby and a very kind landlord.

"a quiet and very friendly place!"
lovely house, there is enough space and there are enough outside facilities to enjoy a 2-week holiday in the good spanish weather! The swimming pool also adds up to that.

"authentic Spanish house, but with todays luxury"
The house suitable not only for a couple but also for larger groups. The pool is a very welcome cool place, especially in the summer. The surroundings is very excotic, lots of citrus trees. Ideal for taking small hikes.
