The villa fuses unique Balinese architectural style with a contemporary design incorporating all the luxuries and comfort of modern living to create a stunning combination. All the rooms are fully air conditioned and have high quality finishings.

The main lounge is contemporary in style and enjoys through views to the main pool area and the main water feature. It is open plan through to the dining area which leads onto a separate study/TV room and kitchen.
The three bedrooms are all on different levels offering a high level of individual privacy. The upper and ground level bedrooms are of a contemporary style and have high quality en suite bathrooms featuring sunken baths and large shower rooms with views over the river and rice paddies. The stunning lower bedroom is in Balinese style and comes complete with private massage room; super-king size bed; separate day bed; terrazzo Jacuzzi bath and decked patio overlooking the river.

The garden is on two levels. The upper ground level has a private pool with large adjacent decked area patio areas lush planting and Balinese style water features. There is ample seating and lounge areas.
The lower garden overlooks the river. Extremely private it comes complete with traditional Bale (pagoda) and smaller pool. Traditional stone paving and lush plantation complete the natural ambience.

The property is set on 800 sqm of land, adjacent to a river lined with mature trees. The 10.45m x 4.10 m pool is surrounded with lush tropical planting. Four Pool lounges line the pool and a traditional thatched Bale on the lower level garden provides a further area for relaxation. Why not spoil yourself and have a n outdoor massage from our In House Spa. There is also a deck with ample seating plus table and chairs for outside dining.
The lap edge swimming pool is very tempting at any time of day! The bale over hangs into a shallow pool ideal for young children.

The final balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
Payment in full is required if arrival date is less than 8 weeks at time of booking
Cancellation can be made up to 60 days before arrival date but will incur a fee of 50% of the deposit.
Cancellations made after the 60 day period will not be refundable however bookings can be rescheduled for a later date subject to availability.

“Sit back and relax” We stayed in Villa Delapan for a week a party of 6 adults. We had a great time enjoying the property facilities. The property is well maintained; the layout is spacious and open with good airflow to enjoy the day; the pool area is well shaded in the afternoon; the house keeping team is courteous and doing a fantastic job to keep the place enjoyable with privacy. It is good value for money to sit back and relax like a king

"Beautiful Villa Pure Luxury"
Excellent all round service starting right from the airport to the villa. Staff are there to meet your every need, all very helpful. Having a driver was great value for money and very helpful. The beautiful (huge) villa has everything you need. Very clean and maintained. Pools are beautiful and great to relax in. Totally recommend getting the cook option, the food was to die for better than any restaurant we ate at! Location was great, not touristy or overcrowded, quiet and relaxing. Totally recommend, great value for money and it was a 5 star luxury experience.

Villa Delapan was exactly what we hoped it would be and more. The rooms are huge, bathrooms exquisite, service from the staff fantastic and overall it was a perfect holiday for our little family.
I don't think there was anything we could fault at all. We used the chef a few times which was great and made use of Udin, the driver most days. He is a lovely guy, charming and genuine like all the staff.

The last time I was in Bali was 12 years ago with a backpack in a hovel in Kuta. This time it was nice to do it in pure luxury!

We had our almost 2 year old with us and the villa had a high chair and cot which was great.

"Villa Delapan - Faultless"

With 4 children aged 22 mths to 19 yrs, our first overseas family holiday was a challenge. We booked Villa Delapan over the Net (sight unseen)relying on previous reviews.
Villa Delapan exceeded our expectations. On arrival we were met by Udin (wonderful, likeable young man)who delivered us safely to the villa. It is situated in a small village removed from the noise and traffic of Kuta etc. - exactly what we wanted but maybe not for those who prefer restaurants and major shopping in walking distance.
We were met by Villa staff with a warm welcome . We did not know then how much they would impact our lives even after our return from Bali. We cannot express enough thanks and our heartfelt fondness to Made Manager, Strong man Made, Nyoman, Nengeh and Putu. The care they showed for us and in particular our youngest children will stay with us forever. Our boys' eyes lit up each time one of the staff walked through the door - they were all over them and the staff doted on them. Our youngest cried and held out his arms for them as we departed on the last day..
Later on, we were also lucky enough to have a second driver, Putu, a kind and humourous man with an in-depth knowledge of his home, Bali.
The Villa - beautiful, clean, luxurious,the most comfortable beds and pillows, impeccably designed and decorated...a credit to the owner and staff.
The Villa Menu - we ate in at least every second night and the food was wonderful (and so cheap!). The Beef Rendang and the Pork Ribs with special sauce were favourites. Thank you to Nyoman for her beautiful food.
Alannah - thank you for making this holiday a reality and your advice was greatly appreciated. It was also great to hear from you during and after our stay.
In summary, we were and still are humbled by the people who made Villa Delapan a home for us - thank you Made, Strong man Made, Udin, Nyoman, Nengeh, Putu (lady), Putu(man),Nyoman(cook)and alannah. Riley and Ben miss you. Hope to see you again next year!

"Like us, you just want the best villa in Bali - this is it"

My fiancee and I were confused by the hundreds of villas available for rent, we chose Villa Empat because it ticked all our boxes = Canggu, Echo Beach, nice pics. We didn't realize it would be as wonderful as it was...

The villa's location really is the best in Bali, and this was our third time there. Echo beach is 10 mins away with its easy, cheap, vibey cafes and restaurants that all deliver, the Canggu beaches are the best surf in Bali for beginners to expert with Prerenan, Tugu and and Old man your local breaks, Canggu's gems like Deus are three minutes away, and Canggu itself is a Bali rice paddy postcard, and home to the all discerning residents and expats, the state of the art villas, with Seminyak only 10-15 mins drive away...

But the villa itself is simply the luxury holiday home you've always wanted. The rooms are huge, the gardens are gorgeous, the beds and bathrooms like a 5 star, the pool and bale and everything, are just perfect. The colors and the vibe are just spot on.

We called the housekeeping staff our little fairies, they were so professional, friendly, and worked so hard we literally didn't have to take a plate to the sink or hang out our own rash vest. Ever present when needed, but invisible so that our privacy was paramount. We cannot convey how great they were in words, you just have to experience that type of service with a smile, that is too often sorely lacking in expensive hotels.

They take their lead from alannah, who owns and runs Villas Empat and Delapan, which are both in the same complex of villas. Alannah has clearly walked through and thought of every conceivable need, from super fast broadband, to Ipod stereo, to loads of Dvds, seriously great bedding, the phone numbers of every cafe and restaurant that delivers in the villa phone - like your own holiday house.

Our 3 week experience ended with a courtesy call from alannah on the villa phone on our last night, wishing us a great holiday and thanking us for staying there. We gave her our great feedback, and the pride and affection for her staff and business were clear.Total, genuine class.

When we were leaving, Made, who oversees the housekeeping staff, told us the next family from Germany moving in was back for their 3rd time at Vila Empat. We'll catch up quickly. We just loved it.

Villa Delapan was amazing. The staff were very friendly and the driver was brilliant. The place was clean, in good condition and the welcome I received in my room was very relaxing after such a long journey to Bali. The food menu had a broad variety which met my every need. The pool was a lovely temperature and the massages is a must do. I had everything I needed and could have spent my whole holiday right there, but with the help of the driver I saw whole of Bali. I would definitely recommend this to everyone and will definitely return for another stay. Thank you for the lovely stay I had there.



"Beyond any expectations!"
We met the driver at the airport and immediately were on the way to the villa, upon arrival we were introduced to the staff and welcomed very graciously. Shortly after arrival we began to look around the villa and every room was well perfectly appointed and inviting. It was as if it truly was home, welcoming, inviting and comfortable at the same time. The staff was friendly and attentive without being in the way, most days we were out and about with our driver to another destination-easily accessible from the villa. The villa is a short drive to the main tourist area and that was fantastic, one day that we did venture to Cuta the traffic was horrible and everything was so crowded that we just had to return to our safe haven. We sampled much of the cuisine of the nearby restaurants and enjoyed every one of them, an evening meal overlooking the beach is fantastic. Anything that one could want is within a very short ride and then it is back to the wondrous quite and tranquility of home. Overall, a once in a lifetime trip that we all want to take again next year! The only bad thing that one might say is that one week simply is not enough and sooner or later you must leave that beautiful place.

Picture Perfect in Bali

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Delapan and Bali was amazing.

Everything the previous reviewers have said is true, the pictures do not do the villa justice, it is spotless and the bathroom in the master bedroom downstairs is breathtaking, although I was too busy on trips and lazing by the pool to make the most of the jacuzzi bathtub.

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the best thing was having Udin as our driver - this made getting out and about super easy and we went on many long drives and saw most of the island in our two week stay.

Alannah has thought of many surprising things to make the stay as comfortable as possible. In addition to everything listed, there are great touches of her leaving a local mobile phone so you can call the driver, housekeeper and manager easily. There are plently of electrical adaptors so don't bother bringing any.

The media room was a great place to relax in the evening or on a wet day (if you arrive in the rainy season) with loads of DVD's and a giant screen.

The chefs were all excellent and I must sincerely say that we had some of our best meals in the villa at a fraction of the price you would pay in a restaurant (not that eating out was expensive).

It's certainly worth making the most of the "at villa" massages which can be booked from the villa at quite short notice. They can be a lovely way to start the holiday and are also perfect after a long day out.

The villa was kept extremely clean and if there were any problems, the staff attended to them very quickly.

Within a 15 minute walk of the villa is the gorgeous Echo Beach with a lovely temple nearby in Canggu beach. Also within walking distance are stables for beach side horse riding and a great place to eat. However, with constant access to a driver, you don't need to worry about walking anyway.

The villas are very quiet as they are closeby to beautiful rice fields and set off the main roads.

I am sure I will be back again and had a wonderful time

A millionaire lifestyle for the the cost of a regular hotel

The beatiful villa combines Balinese character - water features, carvings etc. with a practical and modern layout. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our driver was exceptional in making sure we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bali.
We have stayed before in Bali at the more traditional villas but if you want some extra comforts and for practicality Villa Delapan is a better option. We did not make use of the cook preferring the many cost effective options close by, but for a younger family I am sure this would be a good option.

Our first impression of Villa Delapan was breathtaking. The wooden doors opened onto Koi ponds, the swimming pool and the smiling team of manager Made and his staff. We were shown around the villa and in the bedrooms were greeted by huge baths covered in petals and we knew that we had made the right choice.
Communication with Alannah prior to arrival had been first class and ensured that Udin our driver was there to pick us up bang on time. The villa itself is surrounded by rice fields and Udin explained the meaning behind the numerous kites fluttering above us. Villa Delapan is in a very tranquil spot within a 10 minute walk across a track down to Echo Beach, a fantastic beach for surfing, sunsets and home to the excellent Beach House where we enjoyed fabulous food and ice cold Bintang beer.
Udin is a huge asset to the villa team. He was always a phone call away and full of general knowledge and advice about the best places to visit and the best restaurants to eat in. He was always patient, particularly when we changed our mind about something, and made sure nothing was too much trouble. He arranged a rafting trip and a boat trip for us, both were must do’s for a family with young children, and took us to all the sites that the guidebooks advised us to see.
We alternated evenings out with evenings in, usually choosing the latter after a long day exploring. On a night in, we negotiated a menu after breakfast and then sat back as the team of cooks worked their magic in the kitchen. The food was delicious and the huge portions meant that we looked forward to leftovers eaten by the pool as a lazy lunch.
We all agreed that the beds were the most comfortable that we have slept in on vacation and meant that we woke up refreshed and relaxed. On our lazy days, we dozed around the pool, taking a dip to cool off whilst planning further adventures, exploring all that Bali has to offer.
We loved everything about our trip to Bali and we can’t wait to return.

Your villa was beautiful and all your staff exceptional, specifically Udin your driver, we spent most of our time with him and he showed us everything and his recommendations for restaurants and showing us the Balinese culture was excellent every time. Udin was wonderful with Maxi and often gave Elias and I a nice break. Nengah continuously went out of his way to help wherever he could. All the staff were very accommodating always. Having not had a big holiday for over 20 months, Bali, the villa and the staff were absolutely wonderful, never been so spoilt on holiday like that before. Staff were great so there’s no complaint there. The food at the villa was excellent too so we were very happy. The biggest bonus was to have a driver and car to hand for us to get about the island which took away the worry of having to arrange it all. We also had the most amazing massages by the girls from the local Spa. I Would definitely recommend them to anyone who went to Bali.
Just got to work this morning and already looking at the diary of when I can next come to Bali!!! Addicted is the word!

Villa Delapan is a haven some 30 – 40 minutes from the airport and the noise, press and hustle that surrounds the airport and Kuta area.

From the time we were personally greeted at the airport until the time we left we were in excellent hands. The owner, Alannah Hutton, was great to deal with and has selected a wonderful group of staff: from Udin our driver (who had a constant smile, would take us anywhere we wanted to go and for whom nothing was too much to ask. When I needed some medical attention he recommended and drove me to the best private medical centre) to Putu our chef (who also works in a major hotel, so he knows his stuff and makes the best beef Rendang I have ever eaten) and Made the manager (who made certain that this family of 4 had everything we needed. Even when I left something in the security box on our departure from the villa, Made ensured that it was safely dispatched back to Australia).

We were greeted at the villa by the staff with cool towels and a cold drink to refresh ourselves from the trip. The villa was just as pictured on the website, it was lovely and clean, very spacious and the king size beds were (unlike so many other places we have stayed at) REALLY comfortable. What a difference a great night’s sleep makes! Each bedroom has loads of space and its own en suite.

The villa had lots of zones to get a bit of personal space when needed: from the downstairs garden and Balinese day bed, to the pool side couch and sun beds (where we enjoyed wonderful massages), through to the to the media room (with DVDs and cable tv) and the separate lounge. Each day, bottles of drinking water in our rooms were replenished and if we went out on a day trip, Udin always ensured we had cool water for the trip. A nice touch.

Although it is not right next door to the main shopping, restaurant and entertainment areas of Legian and Seminyak, (and people drive at 40 km/hr to watch out for dogs and scooters – until the traffic gets bad, then its half that speed and travel time increases), we really enjoyed the peace and relaxation that was available at Villa Delapan. Having a car and driver gave us options for stopping wherever we wanted.






We enjoyed the villa and the service very much. The villa was beautiful and we had great vacation.

I recently decided to have a long break (according to my standards) and took my family for the kind of holidays you just take from time to time.
I wanted those holidays to be exotic, far from my home (we are living in Belgium) and far from things I had already seen or heard about.
After a few searches, Bali came as a very nice opportunity.
Thanks to the web, came very soon a huge amount of information. The villa hiring opportunities seemed very special to me as they often included villa staff services.
We finally ended up hiring, firstly for a week, and very soon for about 2 weeks, a villa in Pererenan. To be more precise the Delapan Villa, owned by Alannah Hutton.
The reservation was made after several e-mails and was very soon followed by several mails on the usual how does it work? I you sure there is a driver? And a cook, really?
We experienced dedicated and smiling people, making their best to help us. The villa was just perfect, surrounded by a few other villas (By the way, Alannah is also owner of villa Empat -2 bedrooms)
The driver, Udin, took us anywhere we wanted, from the very near Echo beach Club to the north of the island, from the Kuta local market and sand beaches to the may temples and places to be.
We also had the pleasure to taste the fine cooking of Putu, the villa Cook and his assistants. We just gave them info on what we liked what kind of food we love to have and enjoyed a lot the final results.
Some very nice ladies also came to the villa for some massages appreciated by the whole family. Really affordable, relaxing and home delivered, just around the swimming pool. (We should have taken more of it !)
We have met some very fine people and could spend lots of time just speaking about our common experiences and aspirations.
That was our biggest surprise. One can find sun in many places, making thousands of kilometres flights is no issue, but finding a place you like to stay, just because of its inhabitants and culture, is not that common.

We found it! Why would you not try it in villa Delapan? Just be open for the experience and enjoy it.

I was staying in Villa Empat for 2 weeks in June 2009, and I would admit that this was the best holiday I ever had. Staying in the villa was a great way of experiencing real Bali away from the tourist crowds, while also enjoying utmost comfort and hospitality.
The location of the villa was ideal: it is situated in a peaceful and picturesque village, within 5 minutes drive from the nearest surfing beach and casual dining spot. In some 20-30 minutes you will be in upmarket Seminyak with its classy bars and restaurants or at the kids-friendly Kuta Beach. The layout of the villa was ideal for our group (2 couples) and ensured enough privacy. The villa was impeccably maintained, and the warm and unobtrusive hospitality of the staff surpasses anything I have experienced in Europe. Our driver (included in the rent) was a great companion on the sightseeing trips that we took around the island and also a hoard of knowledge on the local life.
My special compliments go to the owner, who was very flexible with the terms of payment and provided much-appreciated expert advice on local dining and sightseeing.
I would highly recommend this property to everyone who is looking for a taste of Balinese life without compromising on quality and service (on the other hand, I would love to keep it secret, so that I could have it all for myself), and I am looking forward to returning to Bali as soon as possible.

My wife and I spent three days at Villa Empat with our daughter and her husband, and can not imagine a better experience. The owners have created an extraordinary environment that, fair warning, might spoil you for any other vacation spot. The villa itself is stunning and very well appointed and set in a very picturesque location (the pictures and description barely do it justice), but the staff was fantastic. They couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect yet were discreet and very professional. You could tell they took pride in offering good service. Two nights we took advantage of the in-house chef, and had two of the best meals we had on Bali. Very highly recommended! We could have easily never left the villa and been very happy. But we did.
Having a driver made venturing out stress free, even short trips to the market or for lunch. I didn’t always feel safe putting my life in the hands of some Bali drivers, but Udin was an exception -- he was unflappable and the car was very comfortable. We also rented motor scooters, mostly to get down to the beach and to get around the village to take photos. The closest beach, Echo Beach, is one of the better surfing beaches on the West coast of Bali, so while we enjoyed the villa, and the scenery and sunsets, our son-in-law got in his fill of surfing. The Beach House restaurant at Echo Beach is a nice hangout and has a good barbecue some evenings. there are also several other small restaurants near the Beach House that are very good for a casual meal or cocktail.
Finally a note about Made, the manager, and Alannah, the owner :They couldn't have been nicer to work with. Both seemed genuinely dedicated to making our whole experience positive and we appreciated their efforts. Alannah actually made the process of booking the villa and planning the trip via the Internet and email enjoyable. They've done a great job of putting together a perfect getaway, and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
My daughter is already planning our next trip to Bali, and Villa Empat will definitely be at the top of our list. Not sure we'd be happy staying anywhere else.

I want to let you know what a wonderful time we had in Bali recently (Oct 7-17th 2009), thanks to having found your absolutely beautiful Villa to stay at.
From the moment I discovered your Villas on line, and contacted you via email, I never felt any pressure or anxiety about booking this on line, although many said to be wary of internet bookings and payments.
For some strange reason, I knew it was the right thing to do. Your wonderful informative emails, quick replies and phone calls just showed me that my feelings were correct.
We couldn’t wait for our holiday and the time slipped by quickly. Bali here we come!
On arrival, a well dressed and very polite young man picked us up from the airport. And from that time on, Udin became our first friend in Bali.(His seriousness mellowed as he came to know us).
(Nothing was too much for him to do, find out, or book. His driving was amazing in the bike filled and sometimes pot-holed streets, his knowledge of Bali was great, his caring for the King family was fantastic, not wanting to be in our way or disturb us. His singing in the car with us to songs that we all knew stay with us today, especially “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. The guitar night when Udin bought around 2 guitars so that Simon could play with him and teach him was so much fun. A big thank you to him, Noodles King as we now call him.)
After the heavy traffic (where I had to close my eyes at first), small rugged roads, passing through many rice paddies, we arrived at the Villa Complex, still unaware or what laid in front of us. The staff were all waiting as we were running late, with big smiles and warm greetings.
Well what happened next is hard to express verbally. We were taken to Villa Delapan, walking behind Made (supervisor). We were shown through the gates and then the four Kings were caught off guard. We stood there in awe, “wow” “oh my god”!!! Such hidden beauty. The music drifted above us, intoxicating smells of frangipani surrounded us, inviting us to this tropical piece of heaven. The pool, the Bali Bali, the fish swimming under our feet, our rooms (which were heaven and cool after the heat and humidity surrounding us). All our senses had been touched…even the colours of the rooms were exciting. (I want to repaint our home now)!
The Villa was everything and more that your site showed or what I was told from your emails. The beauty and tranquility of Villa Delapan and all the staff (who made us feel extremely special, allowed us to learn about and taste the real “Bali”) made this family holiday into something we all will never forget. This bought back the family connection which we seem to have lost today in our Western society of computers, TV, Telephones and video games.
Udin took us to many places where we saw and learnt about the Balinese Culture; the true beauty of these people, their family values, Ceremony within the village, their pride and caring, politeness and respect for one another. We were lucky enough to be there in their “Ceremony” time, the music the singing, the decorations all in their Villages – how wonderful.
I, we have all truly fallen in love with Bali, and we are coming back. I think a bit of me has been left behind, something is now missing. It was my time for a holiday, mum’s time off for a change, at first, hard to get used to as mothers are always busy doing for others, but this is the best; The time for relaxation, those wonderful massages in the Villa, those early morning Bali coffees, great fresh breakfasts, mid morning iced teas and WOW! Those scrumptious dinners cooked to perfection by Putu, Nyoman and Gede. And not one dish to wash. Perfect.
Nothing was ever too much for the wonderful staff who have all left their mark on us all; Nyunga (his wonderful smile and care), Nyoman female( her gentle disposition and perfect ironing), Made (supervisor)- nothing ever too much a bother and Made who kept our rooms to the way I would do them.
A big thank you to all, a big hug from Marty. May our paths cross again soon.

Leaving felt like I was leaving home, this place and the people have truly left their mark on me, and my family – we still talk about all the wonderful times and look at the hundreds of photos we took. I wish I was still there.
I could keep writing about all the wonderful experiences, but that would spoil the surprise for others following. Echo Beach, Cocktails, barbeques, sunsets and Arak…..

To confirm a booking we require a 50% booking fee, followed by the balance 30 days prior to arrival.

We accept payment in USD and GBP by Bank Transfer, or PayPal Money Request in GBP (3% fee applies to all PayPal payments).

Cancellation can be made up to 60 days before arrival date but will incur a fee of 50% of the deposit.

Cancellations made after the 60 day period will not be refundable however bookings can be rescheduled for a later date subject to availability.
