The Shore Villa
About the home
Spectacular, unobstructed 180-degree view of the Indian ocean. The estate sits in a large tropical garden of 22,000 sq/ft with 5 large double bedrooms and luxurious ensuite bathrooms featuring separate bathtub and shower. There are three swimming pools: an infinity-edge pool, a children's pool and a 30-metre lap pool.
An open-air yoga pavilion can be used for spa treatments, massage or yoga - all of which can be arranged at short notice. The villa comes fully staffed with driver and car, cook and housekeepers etc. Free wifi is accessible throughout the property, as well as cable TV and an entertainment room with a complete home theatre system, DVD player and game console.
A winding and picturesque road running through unspoiled rice paddies leads to this tiny coastal village of Seseh, where our property is located. In this quaint and small village, one can still find the very essence of Bali as the pace slows down and the environment is well preserved and authentic.
The villa is located within an easy drive of the famous Nirwana golf course, the bars and restaurants in Seminyak and yet set in absolute privacy and tranquil surroundings right on the oceanfront.
Guests also enjoy free use of the exclusive Canggu Club with outdoor and indoor tennis courts, sports field, fitness gym, swimming pools, restaurant and kids' club.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, Bali continues to attract travellers. The uniqueness of Balinese culture is summarised by the "Tri Hita Karana", a tripartite concept that denotes the spiritual relationship between humans, God, and their environment.
With sunshine throughout the year, Bali is blessed with a tropical monsoon climate, with pleasant temperatures between 20 to 33 degrees celsius. The rainy season from October to March is when the west monsoon brings heavy showers and high humidity. June to September is considered the driest season, with low humidity and it can be fairly cool in the evenings.
Bali has a long history from the ice-age era (pre-historic time) to modern times. Balinese culture today is characterised by perfect bonds between religion, tradition and an ever evolving culture to become the identity of the Balinese community.
Bali’s population of over 3,000,000 spreads over the whole island, including those in the smaller islands of Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan, Nusa Lembongan, Serangan and Menjangan Island. The overwhelming majority of Balinese are Hindus, with increasing numbers of non-Hindus migrating from close neighbouring islands of Java and Lombok.
The coastal areas in the south are the most populous with over 370,000 people living in various professions in the capital of Denpasar. Farming is the primary way of life in Bali, followed by fishing, trading and craftsmanship handed down through the generations.
Life in Bali is very communal under the organization of villages. Temple ceremonies, marriage, cremation, farming and even the creative art festivals are decided by the local community institution called “Banjar”. The responsibilities in the day-to-day life are normally administered by both the Banjar and the government. The local government is mostly responsible for schools, health clinics, hospitals and roads, and the Banjar is responsible for all other aspects of life. A banjar consists of an average of 50 to 150 family members, owning a meeting venue called the Bale Banjar, used for regular gatherings and a centre for local gamelan orchestras and drama groups.
The Canggu / Seseh area
As a perfect hideaway, Villa the Shore is magnificently located in the village of Seseh. While the region is one of the last completely preserved areas of the popular southwest, our beachfront property is located less than 25 km north of the international airport, a 20 to 25 minute ride from the nightlife of Seminyak, 15 minutes from Bali’s most visited attraction, the Tanah Lot temple, as well as the world famous Nirvana Golf Course, designed by Greg Norman, and a stone's throw of the famous surfs of Canggu.

Nestled amidst a lush tropical garden, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and crowds, The Shore is an excellent choice for a quiet retreat with your friends and loved ones. For an urbanite like myself, it is a luxury to just relax, lounge by the pool and laze the day away. The view of the Indian Ocean, surrounded by nature, provides a wonderful tranquil escape – I love the therapeutic sound of the waves. The morning air is absolutely invigorating – a walk along Seseh Beach is a perfect start of the day. In the evening, it is cool and breezy. Enjoying the sunset from the balcony of your bedroom, is a beautiful and romantic moment. The service staff here is amazing. They are always smiling, friendly, helpful and efficient – which made my stay very pleasant. Home-cooked meals, prepared by the villa cook, were delicious and tasty – I enjoyed every meal in the villa without having to drive out. I highly recommend this beachfront villa for people who want quiet, comfort, space and privacy. The Shore – a perfect place for the perfect getaway. |

Lovely and secluded holiday villa on the beachfront. Great location that is not too far from the action at Seminyak but far enough to enjoy the tranquillity of a deserted beach. The staff were great. Would definitely recommend |
