The New South Wales region
Lyneham Pines is in an ideal location. Close to both Dickson and Lyneham shopping centres, a short bus ride into the city or out to Belconnen, or hop on your bike and use Canberra's extensive bike paths. Canberra has excellent roads and is a safe place to drive, but you don't need to own a car to get around. The capital has a reliable and regular bus network and a comprehensive network of bicycle paths which criss-cross the urban areas and surrounding nature reserves. If the ride gets too much for you, most major bus routes now have on-board bus racks fitted. Many people also take the opportunity to enjoy Canberra's stunning scenery by using one of the many walking paths and trails.
Lyneham Pines is conveniently located close to public transport with a major route to city and satellite centres almost at your door step.
Canberra's dedicated bike paths are well used by locals and tourists alike. The North Canberra bike path is practically on your door step.
Dickson Shopping Precinct
Located 5-10 minutes walk from Lyneham Pines in the northern suburb of Dickson, the Dickson Centre is one of the area's most popular shopping and business districts. Home to dozens of retailers, restaurants, office buildings, community facilities and a primary and high school and college. With many international franchises and owner-operated businesses alike, Dickson Centre has everything from fast food chains like McDonald's and KFC to one-of-a-kind health food and clothing boutiques. While the central Chinatown area includes lots of Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Italian eateries, Dickson Centre's eastern side is made up of parks, a gym, swimming pool, library and other publicly-accessible facilities. Served by the bike network and several convenient bus routes, Dickson Centre also features night time hangouts like bars, pubs and nightclubs, as well as daytime retreats such as bakeries, cafés and coffee houses.
Lyneham Shopping Centre
Lyneham has many attractions including nature parks and bushland, proximity to the centre of Canberra, popular cafes including the famous Tilley Devine Cafe and Gallery as well as the Front Cafe and Gallery, grocery shop, newsagency, post office, chemist and more.
