Casa de Almendras (House of Almonds) is a stunning 4 bedroom villa, set in a large almond grove, which forms part of the property, offering a superb rural retreat with breathtaking panoramic views, taking in the quaint village of Santa Margalida with its beautiful night-lit church. Despite its private and tranquil location, Casa de Almendras is only a 10 minute drive from the lovely beach resort of Ca’n Picafort, with its many and varied shops and its sweeping sandy beach lined with bars and restaurants. The villa is also only a short drive away from other popular destinations in the delightful North East of Mallorca such as Alcudia, Pollença, Port de Pollença and Cala San Vicente.
Indoors, the Villa comprises a fully equipped, luxury kitchen (with separate laundry room), superb dining room and spacious living room, with a double bedroom and bathroom also on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with its own en suite bathroom and private balcony and one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, each with en suite shower rooms and sharing a large south facing balcony. All bedrooms are air conditioned.
Outside there is a large covered terrace for dining al fresco, or just keeping out of the hot sun. The enclosed gardens are beautifully landscaped with extensive lawns, flowering shrubs, almond, olive and fruit trees, a 10m x 5m swimming pool with Roman steps and a traditional stone barbecue.

Large living room with leather suite and comfortable double sofa bed (enabling the Villa to accommodate up to 10 people if required). UK terrestrial and freeview satellite channels available on a 32” flat screen TV, DVD, CD player with MP3 playback facility and Playstation2. A selection of books, board games, DVDs, CDs, Playstation2 games and other amusements are at the Villa for your enjoyment.
Dining room with beautiful solid oak table and leather covered chairs seating ten people in comfort.
Fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room including electric cooker and hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven and all usual small appliances and utensils and ample crockery, cutlery and glassware. Table and six chairs plus a wooden high chair in the breakfast area. Double doors lead onto a very large covered terrace, where there is a large traditional solid wood table with seating for ten for comfortable alfresco dining.
Utility room with washing machine, ironing board, iron, clothes horse, etc (there is a rotary washing line also at the rear of the Villa).
Air conditioned double bedroom with king sized bed and built in wardrobes, drawers, etc.
Separate bathroom with shower.
Central heating is installed throughout the Villa for the cooler times of the year (additional charge if required).
First floor:
Air conditioned master double bedroom, with super-king sized bed, en-suite master bathroom with twin sinks, bath and shower, built-in double wardrobe (with combination safe for your valuables), ample drawer space and double doors leading out to its own private balcony, which has a small table and chairs.

As you would expect from a luxury property of this calibre, all of the equipment, furniture & decoration is of the best quality and taste, in respect of both design & comfort. All of the electrical equipment is especially obvious for it's quality like the large flat screen TV, the Playstation & it's games, the kitchen equipment, etc. The bright open plan feel of the living areas lets all of the natural light flood in as do the french windows in the upstairs bedrooms. The beautiful fitted kitchen is located conveniently to the inside dining area and the covered terrace outside.
All of the bedrooms have their own private en-suite bath/shower rooms, air conditioning, fitted wardrobes and the three upstairs bedrooms have their own balconies for morning coffee, or a romantic meal for two, watching the sun go down!

There will be a guest guide in the property detailing local and island wide activities and places to visit. Car hire is essential if you would like to explore the island. We usually use Carjet.co.uk, who usually have reasonable rental prices, simple online booking and Palma airport collection and return (some companies ferry you to the car by minibus from the airport, which is an additional step on the trip before starting your holiday).

The Can Picafort area
Ca’n Picafort is a lovely, relaxed beach resort with a beautiful, sweeping sandy beach and a promenade lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. Lying behind these, the tree lined main road has many shops including gift and craft shops as well as supermarkets and other amenities. At the end of the beach is an attractive marina. Ca’n Picafort has a lovely atmosphere enjoyed by the local population and tourists alike. The village of Santa Margalida itself, which the villa overlooks, is a quaint market town with it's own typically Spanish shops, restaurants & bars, unspoilt by commercial tourism. Santa Margalida has a market on Tuesdays where you can try local cheeses, cold meats & olives among some local craft stalls selling leather & handmade goods. It starts around 8am & finishes around midday.
Also close by are the North & North East coasts of Mallorca & it's plethera of beach resorts and delightful old towns, as well as activities like walking & hiking, beaches, sailing, biking, watersports & all of the other activities available all over Mallorca. Along this coastline you will find some of the most breath taking views of mountains, countryside & sea alike.

I just wanted to let you know that we thought your villa was great – beautiful location and very well equipped – the most comfortable beds we have had in a villa yet! We had a wonderful two weeks. The outside space is fantastic and we couldn’t get the kids out of the pool!
Everything is so well labelled and organised we were very impressed. The garden and pool people are great – very friendly and do a very thorough job. The garden is lovely, it was really coming into its own when we were there.
You have a fantastic villa we are very envious and wish you every success with renting the villa in the future.

We spent a week in early March, the "Casa de Almendras". It was wonderful. We enjoyed the tasteful and comfortable furnishings, spacious house (we were 10 people!), The great location and beautiful view! There was nothing missing, even great tips for trips were available. We will come back here!

I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic holiday at your villa. We all thought the villa was gorgeous - comfortable and really well equipped. As for the pool and outside terraces, what can we say....magical!
We enjoyed doing very little for 2 weeks-we had plans to tour around the island but in the end, the attraction of the villa and the pool was too great and we just stayed there for most of the time. The 360 degree views from the villa are really fabulous - sitting out at night on the balconies looking up at the stars was really special. All in all, a great holiday with many happy memories for us all. So thank you - we will certainly recommend it to other people and would be happy to provide positive feedback for you to use on your website.

Jeff, Nick and family had a fantastic holiday. The Villa was absolutely fantastic – it was very homely and the children felt like they weren't missing out on anything and even got to watch the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent!!
