The Mallorca/Majorca region

Mallorca is an island on the crossroads of history.The Tramuntana runs down the backbone of Mallorca providing spectacular views and wildlife found nowhere else in the Mediterranean. Can Picafort is on the edge of the S Albufera natural park which hosts a multitude of migrating birds from South Africa and as far as Siberia.Winter sun in Mallorca is legendary ,while summer and Autumn will satisfy even the most determined sunseeker.The scenery of the unknown Mallorca remains to be discovered ,and is well worth the visit.

Can Picafort area

Can Picafort is situated on a seven mile long beach, in the bay of Alcudia, in the north of the island.Even though it is a bustling holiday resort with all the entertainment the holidaymaker requires ,it is also a small Spanish town with a large permenant population, of various nationalities,and maintains that essential "something"that sets it apart from the typical holiday resort.The main fiesta is in August , a week long celebration which culminates in a spectacular display of music and fireworks, the like of which is rarely seen. Can Picafort also boasts a Neolithic site along the beach in an eastward direction.Truely it has something for everyone.

How to get there

Cheap flights available daily to Palma airport via Easyjet/ BMI Baby/ FlyB / Globespan etc.
Car hire available at the airport or on several online sites, ie hertz / europcar / Vanrell.
Or taxi available in front of airport terminal. Alternatively contact owner for pick up at extra charge.
