The front of the apartment consists of six sets of full length sliding glass patio doors, providing unobstructed and stunning views of the surrounding hills, golf course, the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor. The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The region is famous for its blue skies, beautiful white sandy beaches and superb sports facilities, particularly golf. It enjoys around 300 days of sunshine a year and, according to the World Health Organisation, is one of the healthiest places in the world to live. No wonder the region is so popular with both Spanish and non-Spanish holidaymakers.
Campoamor is a stunning town, about ten minutes drive from Torrevieja . It is cosmopolitan, clean and well looked after, and boasts a very well-known golf course, beautiful sandy beaches and excellent bars and restaurants.
The golf course is bounded by some of the best designed villas and apartments, with a look and feel far superior to anything else in the surrounding area. Campoamor is fast becoming the preferred destination for the discerning holidaymaker of all ages and nationalities.
Campoamor / Real Club de Golf Campoamor Resort area
As previously mentioned, the apartment is situated on the acclaimed Real Club de Golf course. This is an 18-hole course, 100 meters above sea level, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The greens run through two connected valleys, surrounded by gently undulating ridges, which protect it from the wind and create a special microclimate allowing all-year-round golfing.
The complex includes a club house and a sports centre with facilities for tennis, indoor swimming and racquet ball. The attractively-designed club house is open to the public and is set in landscaped surroundings. Its hilltop situation affords fantastic views over the course and nearby hills, and right across to the Mediterranean. It has an a la carte restaurant and bar, and large open terraces.
Next door to the Real Club de Golf is another well-known 18-hole golf course, Las Ramblas, which offers a different set of challenges. Another popular golf course is the Villa Martin Golf Club which is about a five minute drive.
However, Campoamor is not just about golf; there are plenty of other activities for individuals and families to enjoy.
There are numerous sandy beaches within a ten to twenty minute drive, such as those at Cabo Roig and Los Alcazares. These meet the EU's "blue flag" standard. The nearest beach is visible from the terrace of the apartment.
If you like walking, the Campoamor area is ideal. Apart from the Real Golf Club area, there is a beautiful walk five minutes down the road near the entrance to Las Ramlas Golf, where you can walk beside a tranquil river.
The apartment is a five-minute walk from La Fuente commercial centre, offering shops, a pharmacy, various banks and some fantastic restaurants and bars (including two Irish establishments). There is a large supermarket nearby.
The pleasant surroundings of the Plaza at Villa Martin is a five minute drive, and caters to most tastes, including Indian and Chinese. The Blue Lagoon is a fifteen minute walk, with Chinese, Indian and English restaurants and a number of bars. Five minutes by car is Cabo Roig, a lively place with numerous bars, restaurants and clubs, offering something for everyone. Fifteen minutes away by car is the Dos Mares shopping centre, with its many shops, a large Eroski supermarket, a cinema and an extensive food court, including a number of well-known fast-food outlets.
The funfair and water parks of Torrevieja are a ten-minute drive. You can also visit the Elche Safari Park and Santa Pola Flamingo Park.
Terra Mitica, which is the largest theme park in Europe, is an hour away in Benidorm.
