The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Situated on the Costa Blanca approximately 15 minutes drive from Murcia Airport - North, and 45 Mins south of Alicante. The nearest town being Torrevieja (4 miles away). A vibrant town with a true Spanish feeling - great for an evening stroll along its' 3 mile promenade and even a fairground in the summer for the children. A short ride (less than a mile) is the local seafront Capo Roig, full of bars and restaurants with a choice for everyone and a great night out. Many other local centres within a few miles offering even more choice of ways to spend your days, shopping, relazing or eating and drinking. Not forgetting the three Championship golf courses.
Campoamor / Playa Golf II area
Although I am sure you will find everything local, spread a little further and visit Benidorm (45 mins north) a city steeped in history and culture and Spains biggest theme park Terra Mitica nearby. There is a waterpark, cinema and bowling locally in Torrevieja. Alicante for great shopping or La Manga for the beaches.
How to get there
Most budget airlines fly from all major airports into nearby Murcia (20 min drive) or Alicante (a 45 min drive), Easyjet, Bmi Baby, Monarch, Ryan Air and Jet2.com, offer the best prices.
Car hire can also be arranged at your destination airport, alternatively look at holidayautos.co.uk, who tend to have the best prices.
Taxis, I would only recommend from Murcia and run approx 35 Euros each way - Alicante would cost you approx 65 Euros+
Pick up's up to 4 people can be arranged on request @ 60 Euros Return from Murcia & 100 E Alicante. (Payable locally)
