The apartment overlooks the swimming pool with views beyond of the surrounding countryside. It is spacious and bright and furnished to a high standard. The patio doors open onto the pool area. The landscaped garden and outdoor kitchen/dining area sit within 18.000m2 of land with many fruit trees.

In a rural location but within easy access to nearby towns. Tranquility is an ideal "get away " location .

All guests will be greeted personally on arrival at the house and shown round the property by the owners. You will have an English/Spanish speaking contact during your holiday, should you need it. On the day of departure, they will be on hand to collect the keys, and to make sure that everything was to your satisfaction.

This apartment is furnished to a high standard. There is oil fired central heating throughout for those chillier evenings through the winter months.

The floors are tiled and all of the windows have shutters for privacy and shade. The patio doors open out onto the

pool area.

One Bedroom is equipped with a double bed, a double fitted wardrobe, a dressing table and mirror, side tables and a ceiling fan.

The second bedroom is twin bedded (105cm), also has a double fitted wardrobe, a bedside table and ceiling fan.

The large bathroom has a washbasin, bath with shower, a centrally heated towel rail and a toilet.

The kitchen is completely furnished with all modern equipment, including an electric oven and gas hob, extractor,

microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Also a coffee maker, kettle, toaster, iorn and ironing board.

The living area has a writing desk and chair, a large unit housing the CD player, TV and DVD player, books and magazines,a coffee table, a ceiling fan, side tables and the dining table seats 6 people.

There is also a single fold-able available bed for a 5th person.

There is an 8m x 4m tiled swimming pool with a sunbathing area. It has a depth of 1m - 1.8m roman steps and is

cleaned daily.

There are 4 hammock style beds and 4 sun loungers around the pool. Towels are provided.

The flower filled patio has a table and chairs that are an ideal area for enjoying breakfast as the sun rises on this.

There are also other seating areas around the garden.

There is a lovely outdoor "kitchen" where you can cook on a BBQ and a plancha. This is fully equipped with kitchen equipment and has running water so everything can be prepared ,eaten and cleaned without going into the apartment. From the huge marble table, shaded by a bamboo roof, views of the garden can by enjoyed.

There is ample seating and also a below ground level seating area for those hotter days. The kitchen also has a toilet.

The surrounding land is planted with almonds, cherries, apricots, pears, apples, peaches, grapes, lemons, oranges, pomegranate, olives - all of which will be offered to guests when in season.

Please Note : The pool is not available from november until the end of march (or Easter, whichever is the earliest).

Please note, prices are per week for the apartment, not per person, A £100 deposit is required to secure your booking within 7 days of booking. A separate refundable security deposit of £100 is payable on booking, to be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival, along with the balance. This will be used as a security bond and return after the apartment as been inspected, subject to no breakages or damage. A Cleaning fee included in the price.

A welcome pack is provided, including - tea,coffee,milk,sugar,water,fruit juice,toilet roll,biscuits,bread and yoghurt.

To maximise your holiday we aim to make your final day as enjoyable as possible by offering flexible departure times. This will depend on the arrival of other guests on the day.

The Murcia region

The Region of Murcia enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters (an average of 11C in December and January) and warm summers (where the daily maximum regularly exceeds 40°C). The average annual temperature is 18°C.

As well as top range resorts, with excellent beaches, the region offers a large number of attractions, from typical Spanish towns to the bustle of Murcia city with its shops and historical sites.

The region is a major producer of fruits, vegetables, and flowers for Spain and the rest of Europe. Excellent wineries have developed near the towns of Bullas, Yecla, and Jumilla, as well as olive oil near Moratalla. Murcia is mainly a warm region which has made it very suitable for agriculture.

The inland area of the Murcia region has much to offer. Here you will find the real Spain. The region is typically Spanish, the people are extremely friendly and helpful and the area is as yet largely unspoilt by the tourist trade.

From small villages to the city of Murcia - there is something for everyone.

From Easter to October, regular local fiestas add an extra spark of interest with colorful processions and dazzling firework displays.

Cartagena’s and Lorca’s Holy Weeks’s processions have been declared of International Tourist Interest, together the Murcia's "Bando de la Huerta" and "Burial of the Sardine", included in its Spring Festivities.

Cartagena’s main festivities are the Carthagineses y Romanos , re-enacting the Punic Wars. They have been declared of National Tourist Interest.

The Águila’s Carnival is one of the most important and colourful of Spain.

The Spanish, make the mid–day meal their biggest, stretching it out for hours. From midday to mid–afternoon, everything shuts down, except of course for the restaurants.

The evening meal is late, anywhere from about 9pm to midnight.

Restaurant hours are typically 1:00pm – 4:30pm for lunch and 9:00pm to 12:00 midnight for dinner.

Menu del Día – This is a fixed price meal. It’s a great way to taste some standard Spanish food, without the worry of a long menu. The prices for a menu del día almost always include bread, water and wine or beer, with a coffee at the end. They are very good value.

Menu – The principal ingredients of local Murcian dishes are the fresh produce of the Huerta (market garden – the fields of Murcia) and rice, fish and seafood from the nearby Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea.

The region also produces fine wines among which the most known are Jumilla and Yecla.

“Tapas” are snacks designed to be served with your drink. It’s widely believed that the name comes from the custom of the barman covering your glass of sherry with a slice of bread, cheese, or salami to keep the flies from drinking too much – “tapar” means to cover in Spanish.

The Region of Murcia serves authentic Mediterranean cooking: cereals, vegetables and olive oil are the base of this cuisine, which finds its source of inspiration in the market garden - natural, authentic, tasty and with a character all of its own.

The roasts, salted fish, fish and shellfish from the Mar Menor are equally appreciated. However, the Region of Murcia is also well-known for its rice, sausages, preserved foods, nuts, aromatic plants, fruit and confectionery.

The Murcians prepare their rice in many ways. Apart from the typical rice with vegetables, the traveller can also choose between rice with rabbit and snails, rice with pork or "caldero", a typical coastal dish, made by cooking rice in abundant fish stock.

Although vegetables form a great majority of Murcian dishes, as we have seen other ingredients are also used. Besides fish, meat is also a very important component of the local cooking and meat lovers who visit the region will enjoy the range of dishes on offer. These include kid and suckling lamb.

The very famous and unique "chuletas de cordero al ajo cabañil" are suckling lamb chops served with a dressing comprised of chopped garlic, vinegar and a bay leaf. Worth special mention is the game, especially rabbit, hare, partridge and quail.

The local meat pie and hind deer pie are very original contributions to Spanish gastronomy.

For desserts try the exellent paparajotes - lemon leaves fried in crispy batter and dusted in sugar and cinammon -, leche frita (fried milk!), fig sorbet...

Campo de Ricote

Campo de Ricote - nestled in between the Sierra de Ricote and the Sierra del Oro mountain ranges has breathtaking scenery.

Ideal for walking, cycling and mountain biking. The area is an artists' delight. It is a protected area for both flora and fauna which you can enjoy all year round.

Around are the towns of Blanca, Cieza, Mula and Ricote. All have an "old quarter" , a weekly market selling fresh local produce, a sports centre, banks, restaurants and supermarkets and all within about 20 minutes by car.

Enjoy horse riding and kayaking in Blanca. Visit the caves of La Serreta in Cieza with their world heritage cave art.

Many beautiful fossils can be found nearby at the "cueva del lobos" (wolves' cave) in Campo de Ojos.

A hilltop castle can be explored in Mula along with a museum of Iberian artefacts and the "Casa Pintada" where the Spanish artist Cristobel Gabarron exhibits his work.

Spend a day in Calasparra and visit the famous pilgrimage site of El Sanctuario del Virgen de la Esperanza - a beautiful church set into the side of a mountain, on the climb up be sure to stop and view the rice fields and spectacular views.

See stalagmites and stalactites in the cave of El Puerto.

Archena has a balneario (spa) that has a wealth of history. Roman soldiers returned here to rest and recuperate after their lengthy campaigns. Now a modern day spa and termolium, you can bathe in natural spring water of mineral-medicinal quality. Pamper yourself with one of the many treatments available.

Discover the birth of a spring in Caravaca de la Cruz with its Roman Temple and visit the castle of Santa Cruz. This town is the fifth holy town of Catholic Christianity and its hills to the north are rich in marble and iron.

Enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Espuña . Now a National Park of 18,000 hectares with its rugged beauty and wild landscape.

There is a water park - Aqua Natura, and wildlife centre - Terra Natura, great fun for all the family, in Murcia (40 minutes from Tranquility) and they offer a discount for visiting both attractions.

There are many museums and galleries in Murcia, Botanical Gardens,daily markets, colorful squares with pavements cafes, large air conditioned shopping centres - Nueva Condamina, El Tiro, Thader and La Noria (designer outlet centre) and the bustling Gran Via with the famous El Corte Ingles department store.

For wine lovers, Bullas, Jumilla and Yecla are famous for their wines in the Murcia region and all have bodegas where you can sample their wines that are less known but equal to the famous Riojas of Spain.

And if you need some relaxation by the sea...

The beaches of the Costa Calida and Mar Menor are within easy reach (1hr 15mins).

This you can read at your leisure once you arrive at Tranquility.
