Property for exclusive use

The Castle was long a residence belonging to Leopold II, the Grandduke of Tuscany, and much of the furnishing and paintings of that era are still here embellishing this dwelling. A holiday here for a group of refined friends who love all things beautiful is not to be missed. Spend a week playing lord of the castle with domestic staff at your service in an ageless dimension but with all the modern amenities at the same time. Like all Tuscan castles, even this one stands on a hill dominating the partly-cultivated plain. With the sea lying in the background, San Vincenzo, a famous seaside resort on the Etruscan Riviera, is only a short distance away and further on is the enchanting Gulf of Baratti with its Etruscan ruins which every now and then are still discovered at the bottom of the crystal clear sea. A beautiful park surrounds the castle with flowered terraces and a beautiful driveway lined by cypress trees and pine trees creating an evocative entrance to this holiday home. Slightly further is the swimming pool with Jacuzzi (12x6, 1.4 – 2m deep)(29/05-30/10 open from 8 am to 8 pm) with changing rooms, WC and perfect garden furniture. In a secluded area there is a part dedicated to open-air meals with armchairs in which to relax and enjoy the view over the garden. If, after some days relaxing, you feel like going on excursions, you are remarkably spoilt for choice: Populonia, rich in Etruscan vestiges, Massa Marittima, Suvereto, Bolgheri and its excellent wines, Castegneto Carducci and many more. All the bedrooms have satellite TV, mini bar, air conditioning, safe. Wi-fi Internet connection and a baby bed are available. Included in the price (only for weekly rentals) are 5 days/week cleaning services of the bedrooms and lounges, midweek change of bedroom and bathroom linen and pool towels. Heating only in the bedrooms.

PLEASE NOTE: arrivals are from 4 pm to 7 pm. For arrivals after 19.00 a surcharge of 200 euros will be required. A guarantee credit card is mandatory requested at the arrival. The ground floor of the castle is used as a reception area for guests. The kitchen is used by the domestic staff who is at the guests’ disposal. The preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the shopping is not included in the price and must be paid for on location. When the guests have their meals at the castle, breakfast is included in the price. The guests can prepare some warm drinks for themselves during their stay. Breakfast times: 8.30am – 10.30am, lunch: 12.30pm – 2.00pm, dinner: 8.00pm.

In case of use of the kitchen an extra cleaning fee will be applied (30 euro per hour).
