Our two-bedroom lodge is graded 4 Star 'Excellent' by Visit England and is located in the Old Orchard next to our farmhouse.

It has a 37 inch Samsung widescreen HD TV, DVD player, mini stereo/iPod dock, Freesat HD TV channels, 2 leather sofas; modern fitted kitchen with gas hob, built in oven, full size fridge freezer, microwave; one double bedroom, one twin room; shower room with separate WC; free wifi.

It is equipped to a high standard to cater for up to FOUR people, plus a cot if required. Fully furnished and all bed linen is provided (apart from cot linen), and the beds made up with white hotel style bed linen, duvets and pillows ready for arrival. Tea towels, oven gloves, bath towels are supplied in each lodge. The kitchens are equipped with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, steam iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and an excellent range of crockery, cutlery, kitchen tools, stainless steel saucepans, etc.

Cots and high chairs are supplied free of charge should they be required. The lodge has an open plan lounge and kitchen/diner, and a wood decked verandah, a picnic table on the grass outside.

The lounge has a 37" Samsung widescreen HD TV with HD Freesat TV Channels, DVD player, mini stereo/i-Pod dock and 2 leather sofas. The dining area has a pine dining table with four chairs.

The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, free standing pine wardrobe, pine bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. The second bedroom is a twin room with single beds, free standing pine wardrobe, pine bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. There is double glazing and gas central heating throughout with radiators in all rooms, plus an additional electric 'coal effect' style fire in the lounge.

The bathroom has a shower (no bath), wash basin and toilet. There is also a second cloakroom, with hand basin and WC.

Gas and electricity charged in addition to the tariff price. In recent years, the price of gas and electricity has risen so much, we now have to charge for energy consumption in addition to the rental tariff, at cost price. The lodge is fitted with an electric and gas meter which accepts £1 coins. How much electricity or gas is used depends on the individual visitor and the time of year. The lodge is fitted throughout with low energy light bulbs and low energy consumption electrical items, as well as modern efficient combination gas boiler. As a guide, expect the cost of energy consumption to be the same as you would pay at home for your usual domestic consumption during the same time period as your holiday.

Parking and access

Due to the lodge location by the farmhouse, you cannot park immediately outside but you can park within 30 metres. The lodge is accessed via a gravel pathway from the parking area. The doorway is reached by three steps up to the wooden decking from the gravel pathway. Please let us know at the time of booking if you or any members of your party have any difficulty with access or mobility, and we will advise upon the suitability of the accommodation.

We do not allow smoking in the lodge, nor can we accommodate dogs or pets of any kind.

The West Country region

St Tinney Farm is located on the north Cornish Coast. We are approximately three miles from the sea in the tiny rural hamlet of Otterham, about one mile from the A39 Atlantic Highway. The roadway to Otterham from the A39 is a rural single carriageway with passing places.

We recommend that visitors to St Tinney bring some form of transport with them. Although local bus services are available from the A39, they do not run as frequently as they do in towns or cities.

If you let your satnav guide you from either Launceston or Bude it may take you unnecessarily down rural country lanes. It is normally far quicker and easier to follow the simple routes outlined below which will keep you on the main roads for as long as possible.

How to find us from the direction of Bude on the A39

Take the A39 signposted Wadebridge, and drive through the village of Wainhouse corner on the A39. 11 miles from Bude, after a short stretch of uphill dual carriageway, when you reach the brow of the hill you will see a sign for Otterham village. Turn left, then follow the road to your right, then take the first turning on your right, following the road around through Churchtown Farm, and following the brown signs to St Tinney Farm.

How to find us from the direction of Launceston on the A30

Bypass Launceston on the A30 and then take the A395, signposted north Cornwall. Drive eight miles to Hallworthy and take the second turning on the right signposted Otterham Station. Follow this road until you come to the main junction with the A39. Turn right continuing on the main road until the brow of the hill, where you will see St Tinney Farm signposted on a brown tourist sign. Turn right, following the road around to the right. Then take the first turning on your right, following the road around through Churchtown Farm, and following the brown signs to St Tinney Farm.

Our nearest railway station is located at Bodmin Parkway, approximately 25 miles away.

Local bus service

Western Greyhound operate a local bus service (number 595) from the A39 which is a one-mile walk up single track country lanes from St Tinney.
