The East Anglia / Cambridgeshire region
Cambridge is very accessible, culturally exciting and varied. It is a fantastic base to visit East Anglia, with the historic market towns of Ely, St Ives, Safron Walden, Bury St Edmunds, ro name a few within a 30 minute drive or train journey.
There are various national trust homes and estates nearby, including Wimpole Hall, Anglesey Abbey, with fantastic winter gardens, Audley End house and gardens where they also hold summer open air concerts. And the very impressive Duxford War Museum where you need to spend the whole day.
There are lots of green areas in and around Cambridge where there are regular events take place, Strawberry fair on Midsummer common, the world famous Folk Festival at Cherry Hinton Hall.

How to get there
Easy jet fly to Luton Airport from most European countries, Luton Airport is a 90 minute bus journey to Cambridge. Ryan air fly to Stansted which is a 40 minute bus train or car journey to Cambridge. Trains to and from London run every 30 minutes and take 50 minutes to Kings Cross. The apartment is based on the north side of the city centre, which provides excellent links to the M11, A14, and A428. This location is also convenient if working on the Cambridge Science park or business park sites. Cambridge has a good bus service and with a bus stop beside the apartment you have easy access to Cambridge and beyond.
