The Granary at Chalk Farm, Babraham is a 17th century piggery converted to provide a comfortable home-from-home for the tourist or business visitor, offering complete privacy, excellent self catering facilities and much more space than most hotel rooms.
Situated just 6 miles south of Cambridge, Babraham is a quiet and pretty village ideally placed for exploring the University city and the surrounding rural beauty of Cambridgeshire. There is a good, regular bus service and the bus stop is five minutes walk away. Park & Ride with a bus to the city centre every 10 minutes is just 2 miles down the road.
The Granary is designed for two people (with a double bed), but will accommodate three or four with the futon – but please note that the Granary is studio accommodation, so is one large room, and there is no separate bedroom. We can provide a cot if you need one. The Granary stands in the grounds of Chalk Farmhouse, a Grade II listed building said to be the oldest property in the village.
The George, a 16th century inn next door serves lunch and dinner, and there are many more pubs and restaurants in nearby villages. The Granary can be let on a per night, per week or per month basis.

"Nice Location, Shame About the House"
We could live with the mould in the shower, and we could live with the uncertain heating but when the tap in the bathroom sink blew a washer and the host took hours to get it resolved, that took the s… More
Thanks for your review. What a shame all our many happy visitors only write in the book and not on here! It is helpful to know if people aren't happy so that we can try to resolve problems, but that is difficult when we're not there to say goodbye - sorry about that, it's something we will definitely take on board. As for the tap, we did our utmost to sort it out quickly but unfortunately it did take longer than we would have wished. It took the shine off our day too! As an apology, we would be happy to offer you a complementary night's stay, just get in touch in the usual way and we will sort that out for you. (If we had been there when you left we would have said this then.) Best wishes, Sara and Andy
