Bells Court. What you see from your dining table and your bedroom!

Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 5

Key Info
  • Great for children of all ages
  • Some pets are welcome - please contact the owner
  • Car not necessary

This is a charming flat in a grade II listed building which has been sensitively restored and modernised and is right in the centre of Cambridge: main shops and colleges c. 5-10 minutes' walk. Proprietors live 50m away should you need us. All facilities available. Within 5 minutes you can be walking along the famous "Backs" and you can virtually see the river from our window. See: www.bellsapartments.co.uk

The flat is a duplex which has one large bedroom per se with a king sized bed and offers more than enough space for an extra single bed should a couple wish to have their child in the same room. The main room has a kitchen/dining area at one end and the living room at the other: this contains a double sofa bed which allows a family of 5 to stay. Powerful shower, washing and drying machine, wi-fi, hairdryer, TV, DVD, CD, radio. Many local pubs and restaurants and cafes nearby and the folk and art museum are in the same street just 100 m away! 150m to the punts and quayside too!

The flat is very light: windows everywhere! Seven of them! You get a nice view at breakfast/ and you can have a nice through-breeze in the summer!

We are one of only four TRULY CENTRAL FLATS in Cambridge and yet we are very reasonably priced. This has enabled people who need a longish stay (say, to research for writing a book or to visit relatives from afar, like Australia) to come to Cambridge without breaking the bank. And, with a longish booking we always offer a discount without being asked.

Most of our customers are return customers, including an elderly couple who have been coming every year since 1988 when we opened! That is our best advert!

Thank you for your kind attention. We do hope that we will see you and if you have any questions about Cambridge (cheapest punts, for example) or need a doctor, more towels, a taxi, etc you can always ask us. We are always happy to help. See reviews.

"Practically perfect: Convenient, Comfortable, and Clean"

This is a perfect place to stay while visiting Cambridge. It is a mere three minute walk to the city center and all of the various colleges. We were using the university library during our stay, and… More

Thank you very much. Always welcome!!!

"Perfect location - excellent apartment"

Charming and high standard apartment. We stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed it very much. The town center, colleges, shops and pubs in walking distance. Lovely hikes around Cambridge, along the riverbanks and in the country side. The pub across the road served good food and a large variety of ales! Tony Loizou, very friendly and always there if we had a question.

Thank you. See you again I hope!

"Charming well-appointed flat in great location."

Looking for a reasonably priced self-catering unit near the oldest part of Cambridge? This flat across the street from Cambridge's original castle mound is a great deal. The location is perfect for walking to the colleges, parking was provided (a challenge in Cambridge!), the beds were comfy, and everything we needed was provided. Even the kitchen knives were sharp! The owner quickly attended to whatever questions or needs we had. Highly recommended!

Thank you. It was lovely meeting you and your family.

"Value for money short-term renting with a superb location"

We have become regulars at Bells Appartments and wouldn't think about staying anywhere else. In our experience similar accommodation exists in Cambridge but further out and more expensive. We find the upper appartment at Bell's to be a home from home. It is clean, comfortable, well equipped, and tastefully decorated but the bottom line has to be its location. Step out of the front door and within five minutes you are in the beautiful city centre ! This must be the best value for short-term renting in Cambridge. We have already booked for 2013 and look forward to the warm welcome we always receive from Tony Loizou, the friendly but unintrusive owner.

Thank you! See you next year!!!!

"Excellent Rental With A Perfect Location."

Mr. Loizu provided excellent service and checked with me on a consistent basis to make sure my family's stay was of the highest caliber. I stayed in the charming larger upper flat for almost a month this past July/August as my oldest son attended the Cambridge International String Academy at Trinity College. The apartment is as good or better than advertised. Paid a very fair rate. Easy to find. Perfect location. Very near several restaurants and shops. Pub across the street had good food. Sainsbury's market is a 10 minute walk to the apartment and has online delivery service for a very small fee! Kitchen was well appointed. There are 3 comfortable single beds upstairs with bathroom/shower. My two teenage boys slept on the pullout queen couch which they said was comfortable. Several windows allowed for a nice breeze. Apartment was clean. Not overly spacious but very comfortable. The only less-than-perfect item is that the clothes washing machine only uses very hot water so I did a lot of ironing of permanent press clothes. Honestly, that is the only thing that wasn't perfect. I've already booked the upper flat for our visit in August 2013.

Thank you so much for your kind review.
