The Travellers Rest Lodge is ideally located for an East Anglian Holiday - between the Historical Cities of Cambrdige and Ely. Lodge Style Accommodation with 2 person or 4 person rooms occupancy offering luxury accommodation. Luxury accommodation supported by excellent friendly service in the adjoining traditional and aptly named Travellers Rest - English Pub.

There are 8 Bedrooms including two family rooms and a special room with wheelchair access to room and bathroom. Families are very welcomed and there is a garden area next to the lodge and a Playground nearby.

This well presented Lodge was completed within the last year and offers excellent family rooms with flat screen Freeview TV and Wi Fi avaiable.

Situated in the quiet village of Chittering - The Lodge is very well positioned for visits to the University City of Cambridge or the Cathedral City of Ely.

The East Anglia / Cambridgeshire region

The Lodge is ideally positioned for an interesting and exciting holiday in East Anglia and is just on the edge of the Fenlands - the Lowlands and boating holiday area of England.

There are very good travel links to nearby Cambridge - with its old University Colleges many of which can be visited, the famous Mathematical Bridge and of course the Kings College Chapel and the backs of the river which are very popular for punting. Why not try a chauffeur punting trip complete with champagne?

The City of Ely - so named because of its link with the fishing of eels - is full of history with strong associations with Oliver Cromwell and its inspiring Ely Cathedreal - which took over 300 years to complete..

Cambridge area

Cambridge - The University City, Ely and the Ely Cathedral all date back to before the 12 Century.

Both cities have market days and Cambridge in particular has a traditional market in the Main square on most days of the week.

The Cambridge Festival in July has become extremely popular for music lovers. Close by the Lodge there is a
horse riding centre, water sports and many golf courses.

The city of Cambridge is changing. The extension of The Grafton Shopping Centre, the development of the Grand Arcade and Bradwell’s Court; and a new state of the art John Lewis has all helped to make Cambridge the one stop shop for fashion and accesories.

How to get there

- Road via M11 and A10 from London and South , via A14 and A10 from Midlands and the West
or A1 and A47 from the North.

- Bus Stop very nearby - to Ely and Cambridge.

- Waterbeach Rail Sation only 5km and Rail Links to Cambridge and Ely Railway Stations.

- Air via London Stansted and London Heathrow.

- Transport can be arranged for pick up and drop off.

This is a newly built Lodge completed within the last 12 months to a very high standard.

Each Room is fully equipped and decorated in 5 star style accommodation with Kingsize beds or Single beds a Flatscreen TV and each with a luxury bathroom.

The adjoining Traveller Rest Pub is an aptly named hostelry offering an excellent menu and friendly service for any or all of your mealtime choices or just a sandwich and a beer after a pleaseant walk in the local countryside.

Available nearby are a wide range of activities from Horse Riding and Water Sports to Shopping and Golf with plenty of nightime choices in Cambridge to choose from.

The Travellers Rest has an excellent traditional menu for Breakfast , Lunch or Evening Meals and friendly staff and host who will help to make your stay memorable.

A picnic lunch could be supplied at an extra cost.

There is a garden with picnic tables just outside the lodge and there is local playground adjoining the garden area.
