It is easily accessible from London, 45 minutes drive North on the M11, and by train, Kings Cross to Royston or Cambridge takes 45-60 minutes. It is a quintessentially English village with numerous thatched cottages and timber framed buildings dotted around the 30 acre village green, which is over half a mile long and supposedly the longest village green in England. The village boasts a thatched pub built in the 1400s with a superb reputation for food and beer. We have negotiated special rates at The Royal Oak Public House for our guests, just ask when you arrive!

"Do not book this accomodation, disgraceful!"
Booked a two night break with two elderly relatives, one of which is in a wheelchair, hence booking this accomodation, as everything was on the ground floor, with a walk in shower. Picture on the web … More
We were disappointed to see such a negative review about our beautiful cottage and surprised that the guests did not make the time to raise these concerns or contact us during their stay. (We are located only next door!)We have addressed all of the issues raised, found them to be extreme and can assure all future guests that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained in our quaint country cottage.
If the unsatisfied guests wish to make contact, we would like to offer a complimentary 2 night stay during which they can see that any indicated problems have been rectified.
