Home description

Laguna Beach House is close to shops, bars and cafes. The owners, an architect and his designer wife have recently redesigned and renovated this spacious apartment with enormous attention to detail. They have perfected their idea of dreamy comfort on the edge of the sea - a great get away for little ones, the young and trendy and for all who long for home-from-home luxury where every need is considered. Step inside to cosy splendour. The living area is open plan with squashy sofas, fat armchairs and a wood-burning stove. The well equipped kitchen opens into the dining room with large farmhouse-style eight-seater table and then out onto the balcony .The three large double bedrooms, bright and trendy with lashings of storage have great views - you almost feel you can touch the grassy dunes from the windows! In sea-side theme the lovely, creamy modern bathroom has a pebbled floor, a super-efficient shower and lots of space. Leading from the balcony is the biggest deck in Camber with hammocks and barbecues and stunning sea views.

The South East England / Sussex region

Camber area

Camber Sands is a one-off gem due to three simple features - nearly 3 miles of golden sand, clean and shallow water and safe swimming that is why is was voted No 9 of the 100 Best Beaches in the World by The Sunday Times Travel Magazine. It also has a Yellow Flag awarded by MCS.

The sheltered village of Camber with shops and amenities seems completely unaffected by its fame and is geared to sea-side life.

1. The Place in Camber - An award-winning seaside brasserie specialising in local, organic food and stylish decor and ambiance.
2. Chapel Down Wines in Camber - Delicious and reasonably priced wine, cider and local produce all grown nearby.
3. The George in Rye - A perfect place for a roast dinner and pint in front of an open fire.
4. Rye Bay Fish. -The best and friendliest place to buy fresh local fish call 01797 222377 to make sure it's open.
5. The Rye Retreat - A place to be pampered, de-stressed and spoilt.

From the lower deck - through double doors off the dining room - are the lovely views of the beach and sea, and the lively seaside activity below on the single-lane road leading to the beach. Climb the wooden steps and be amazed...a huge deck with barbecues, two hammocks. The great joy is that the deck is secluded, except when adventurous children decide to climb to the top of the nearby sand dune!
