Home description
Right next to the beach! Exciting new holiday home with geothermal space heating, solar water heating, and a grass roof. Inside, white walls and oak floors give Dunescape a bright, stylish, yet refined holiday ambience not normally found in the UK. Some furniture, including the king-sized bed in the master bedroom, is made from reclaimed timber from Rye Harbour.
Camber is a wonderful seaside village, offering the best sandy beach in the South East of England. The gently sloping sandy beach is a mecca for windsurfers and kitesurfers, and watersports are taught both at the beach and at Rye Watersports' lake a mile away. Rye Golf course is within walking distance. Dungeness RSPB reserve is a haven for rare bird species, and the local area is popular with walkers and cyclists alike. There are plenty of distractions for children, but that's if you can drag them away from their adventures in the sand dunes!

The South East England / Sussex region
Generally speaking, the South East has a climate that is warmer and drier than the rest of the UK. Even better news still is that Camber has its own micro-climate and often enjoys bright, sunny days when just a few miles inland the skies are grey.
The surrounding area is steeped in Natural and Historical interest, be it the enchanting shingle plains of the Dungeness Peninsular, or the Norman history of 1066 country.
Camber area
First and foremost, whatever the weather there is the spacious sandy beach to enjoy! This is perfect for swimming, paddling, playing games on the sand flats, windsurfing, kitesurfing, buggying, walking, or simply enjoying a picnic.
If watching the windsurfers inspires you, then tuition is to hand a mile away at the Rye Watersports lake. This friendly, family-run centre runs kitesurfing, windsurfing, and dinghy sailing courses for all abilities on its safe inland lake that benefits from the summer sea breezes.
The 100 and 711 buses connect Camber to Rye railway station, New Romney, Folkestone, and Dover. Rye town is gorgeous, so spend a day enjoying its charming shops, cafes, and art galleries. Or take the train to Exciting Eastbourne, Historic Hastings, or Buzzing Brighton for a change of pace. Shoppers will head to the Designer Outlet Village right next to Ashford International station. Don't forget your passport; Eurostar can whisk you to Paris for a daytrip in under 2 hours from Ashford. If you prefer to take the car then Dover is a 45 minute drive away where frequent ferries and fast ferries connect the port to Dunkerque, Calais, and Boulogne.
Closer to home, the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is a must for children and adults of all ages. Why not take the train to Dungeness, admire Derek Jarman's cottage, and climb the stairs of the lighthouse for the breathtaking panoramic views?
Walkers are spoilt for choice, whether the pace is for a stroll along the beach, a level walk over the Romney Marsh, or a more challenging hilly walk in the gorgeous Weald just to the North of Rye.
Cyclists also enjoy the choice of flat or varied terrain. Off-road routes connect Camber with Rye and Lydd, but if Singletrack is your mountain-biking pleasure then drive the 40 minutes to Bedgebury where a fantastic new 25km purpose-built trail awaits.
Golfers will delight that the famous Rye Golf Course is about 20 minutes walk away via an off-road pavement.
