Camber Dunes is an idyllic beach house and is one of our larger 3 bedroom self-catering holiday properties accessed down a sandy road behind the beach. It offers a calm escape with views of the dunes from the upstairs bedrooms an enclosed south facing private garden downstairs. This house is only a moment's walk to the miles of sandy beaches and sand dunes that is on offer to all who stay in Camber.

Camber Dunes has just been completely redesigned by its new owners to offer very family friendly accommodation. The cottage is stylishly decorated with a light open plan living and dining area with French doors leading out onto a deck and a private sun drenched garden. The open plan kitchen has all that you need for cooking and the dining area has a large table with chairs for everyone to relax and sit around during your holiday . The sitting room has comfortable sofas and chairs to chill in at the end of a busy day down on the beach. Camber Dunes has a downstairs double bedroom and family bathroom and upstairs a large master bedroom with an ensuite shower room and substantial third bedroom that has beds that can be either single or zipped into a kingsize bed. The upstairs bedrooms have some great views across the dunes to the sandy beach beyond.

Ground floor

You arrive into a light filled hall at Camber Dunes with stairs to the upper floor. To the left is a door that leads into a large open plan downstairs area starting with the sitting room with wooden floors covered with a large rug. There are two comfortable sofas and two armchairs, side tables with side lights, coffee table and a decorative only fireplace. There is a sideboard with a TV with Freeview and a DVD player The dining area has a large kitchen table that seats six to ten people. To the right of the dining area is a modern well equipped kitchen with an oven and extractor fan, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and iPod docking system with radio. The dining and kitchen areas have huge floor to ceiling French doors that concertina to make the room light and airy and that lead out onto the decking area and garden.

Downstairs

Double bedroom with large double bed, two bedside tables and lamps and Roman blinds at the window. There are hooks for hanging clothes, a chair and a chest of drawers. The hall cupboard houses the washer/dryer and drying rack. A large family bathroom with bath, overhead shower and glass screen, WC and two basins.

First floor

At the top of the stairs is a light landing with large window. Master bedroom with large windows, with views of the sand dunes. Kingsize bed, two bedside tables and two bedside lights, chest of drawers. Ensuite shower room with basin, WC and power shower. Twin bedroom with views of the sand dunes, two single beds or these can be zip linked together to make a kingsize bed, two bedside tables, two bedside lights, chest of drawers and cupboard.

Additional amenities

Fully equipped kitchen with blender/scale, Wi-Fi access,stereo with DVD and audio output, selection of DVD's, board games and games, linen, bath and beach towels, hairdryer/s.

For children: Travel cot, high chair, stairgate, chair booster, bumbo, baby food blender, board games and toys, bucket and spades, outdoor shower, children's plastic plates, bowls and cups, children's plastic cutlery for use in the house, children's step for washing hands and teeth.

Outside decked area with BBQ, wooden table and seating area which leads out from the kitchen and dining room - ideal for those long lazy summer meals. There is also a grassed garden for the children to play at the end of a long day on the beach. Garage area where you can store your kite surfers, hang up your wet suits to dry and store sandy buckets and spades. Outside shower and tap to wash sandy feet and toys. Parking for two cars

Strictly no smoking in this property and no pets allowed.

Prices include bed linen, towels, beach towels, all utilities, pre-arrival and departure cleaning and a welcome pack.

The changeover day for weekly bookings is Saturday in high season. Other start days may be possible on request in the low and mid-season. Short breaks may commence on any day.

There is a £24 booking fee per holiday and a £300 security deposit is required prior to arrival which can be pre-authorised on a credit/debit card.

Camber

Camber Sands beach is a huge stretch of golden sands backed by sand dunes and is only a two hour's drive from London. It is being newly rediscovered as a UK holiday destination of choice and was voted number 9 of the 100 Best Beaches in the World by The Sunday Times Travel Magazine. The unspoilt beauty of the beach as well as its sheer size have made it a popular location for fashion photo shoots and films including doubling as the Sahara Desert in a 'Carry On' film and as the Dunkirk evacuation beaches in several war epics. It a popular location for horse-riding and kite-surfing. The shallow sea is ideal for children. The famous market town of Rye is only a few minutes drive away.

"A lovely well-appointed cottage close to the Camber Sands beach"

We have just returned from a lovely half term holiday at Camber Dunes. The house is a bit tricky to find - sat nav a must - but turn off the main road to a bumpy sandy lane and you are soon there. The… More
