The East Sussex region
The South coast of England enjoys some of the best weather in the country.
It has superb links from London, Dover and the continent.
Places of interest include the famous Canterbury Cathedral. We are also on the border of the garden of England which is the county of Kent, where there are many beautiful places to see.
We are within striking distance of the channel ports and tunnel for day trips to the continent.
Rye, which is 4 miles down the road, is a beautiful ancient town, one of the original cinque ports. It is on the Rother estuary with many fishing boats and yachts to see. It has a large varied selection of Restaurants and Bars and is on a direct line to London, Ashford and the continent. There is also a market every Thursday.
Camber is a charming holiday village on the edge of the famous Romney Marsh. Its superb sand beach is the largest in Europe and its sand dunes are world famous for their beauty and wild life.
Dungeoness, with its wild bird reserve and famous lighthouse, is well worth a visit and only a short drive away.
The marsh is truly beautiful.

"Well priced , friendly helpful owners , cosy for two"
For the price , compared to other places around this was good value. No t.v , iron or hair dryer which is unusual , but we had been told at time of booking about no tv. Bring your own towels.. BUT the owners couldn't have been more helpful , really giving the impression they were ready to help in any way, though the weather was awful and very wet and cold we were warm and cosy and the bed was comfortable. Lots of giggles from me when my 6ft 3 ins husband tried to get out of bath...very low sloping ceilings upstairs ... Overall it was good value for money , I was able to borrow an iron from the owners and plenty of food shops literally within a few minutes from front door...secure parking too which is always good. Ideal for two , and I also have to say on the kitchen cooking equipment it was well stocked , not only non stick frypan ( a rarity in places I've stayed ) but egg poacher as well, quiet and plenty of privacy. The only thing that would prevent me going there again is that they don't allow dogs. We were only there for a few days ( family wedding ) so wouldn't have taken the dog anyway but if I go to Rye again the beach and surrounding areas are much to tempting not to take my dog.

"Cosy yet practical, good base for exploring area"
Friendly and welcoming hosts. Accommodation consists of compact self contained flat, with stereo, cooker, microwave, fridge and kettle. Sadly no TV. Sleeping area is very cosy, bed is comfy and place stays warm in winter. Great location near beach in Camber - and overlooking Pontins, with it's family entertainment. Fair price. Would recommend.

"A good stay"
We spent one night at the Sanremo hotel in Camber Sands. It's actually a small cottage independent from the main property so you will have all the intimacy and silence you want. It's pretty easy to reach because it's on the main road of Camber Sands, and it's just few minutes walk from the beach. The house is well equipped, you can cook your meals or buy something fast in the small markets on Lydd road if you're looking for saving money. June and Jhon are really a good couple and landlords, they were kind and the place was clean and comfortable, just a small note of disappointment about the wifi connection that didn't work inside, but it's still ok if you want to disconnect from technology and enjoy just nature and the awesome surrounding.

"Very relaxing stay, friendly hosts, great location in Camber Sands"
I really enjoyed my stay at San Remo. The apartment is spacious and in very well maintained. The location is perfect, 2min from the beach, walking distance to a grocery store. John and June are very caring and lovely hosts, always keen on helping and friendly. Very good value for money! I will go back.

"Great location and very helpful owners"
The apartment is in a great location, just minutes from the fantastic beach at Camber. It was very cosy and quiet, and the owners were really helpful in making recommendations for local activities and facilities. We had a really good stay.

"Compact flat with good access to beach"
This is a compact flat which was clean and well presented. Bedroom was a good size but did have low headroom throughout. The single bed is immediately next to stairs so i would not bring a child under 5 to this flat. Bathroom is a good size with lots of hot water. (bath and handheld shower). The living, dining and kitchen space is absolutely fine for one adult and child. (Not sure I would want to fit three people in as it would be tight). No TV. Nice outside space shared with flat owners. Off-road parking is okay (but does need 10-15m of reversing). Owners were friendly and helpful. They were flexible about arrival and departure times which is great when travelling with a young child. They were also forgiving of minor breakage. Beach access was an easy 2-5 mins walk away. Small park with swings just across the road which was great.

"San Remo - excellent!!!"
My husband and I stayed at San Remo during August and could not fault the apartment. The kitchen contained all necessary appliances and utensils. The seating area was comfortable and we had a table with additional chairs to use if required. Upstairs the bed was comfortable and the bathroom more than adequate. Although we were warned by the owner that the wifi was less than brilliant, we found it to be perfectly satisfactory. The beautiful, sandy beach was just a few minutes walk away and there was an abundance of lovely places nearby to visit. We would particularly recommend the town of Rye which is only a few miles away. The owner met us on arrival and provided a warm and friendly welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return in an instant.
