Home description
Located just 3km outside Calpe, our villa is a wonderful combination of peace and quiet, without being isolated from all the facilities you need for a successful villa holiday.
The villa is very light and airy, with two double bedrooms (both super-king sized beds, 1 en-suite) and one twin room.
The kitchen is modern and equipped with a dishwasher and microwave, as well as the oven, dual fuel hob and fridge/freezer. The lounge has a television with Satellite reception and a DVD player. The utility room also contains a washing machine.
Outside, the large 12m x 6m heated and floodlit pool is situated in a south facing terrace featuring three 'palapas' (rush topped sun shades), and ample sun-beds with mattresses. The outside utility room houses a washing machine, as well as a toilet and sink, and miscellaneous 'pool toys', eg lilos, spaghetti floats etc.
The outside eating area includes a table and chairs for 6, and a built-in BBQ.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Costa Blanca is Spanish for "White Coast", and it is so named because of the wonderful sandy beaches which line this part of Spain. The climate here is one of sunshine and fresh sea breezes, making it the perfect climate to escape the vagaries of the British summer.
The main attractions close to the villa revolve around the beautiful coastline and countryside, and activities include golf, sailing, scuba diving, go-karting etc. In addition, the wonderful variety of places to eat means that the world is your culinary oyster!
There is so much to do along this coast line that it would be impossible to list everything. Benidorm, which is just half an hour away boasts every tourist attraction possible including: Terra Mitica (theme park), Mundomar (seaworld park), Aqualandia (water slides), and so much more.
Calpe / Los Pinos - The Pines area
Calpe is a medium-sized town, which is very tourist friendly, without being too commercialized. The nearest major tourist area is Benidorm (approx 1/2 hour drive), including Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia Water Park, Mundomar Sea life Centre, and far too much else to mention!
How to get there
The nearest airport is Alicante, and there are regular flights there from most UK airports, with many offering budget airline options.
We have a preferred car rental company which is Record (www.recordrentacar.com) - they are probably not the cheapest, but we have always found them reliable with good quality cars.
They also have an office at Alicante airport, which makes the process easier.

Further details indoors: Master bedroom: Super-king sized bed (6ft) and en-suite shower room. Ceiling fan and rem-cont a/c & heater unit. Bedroom 2: Super-king sized bed and r/c a/c & heater unit. Bedroom 3 with twin beds and r/c a/c & heater unit. Travel cot (but no bedding).
Main bathroom with bath (shower over), wc, sink. En-suite with shower, wc, sink. The water pressure here is very good, so a good shower is always available!
A modern light kitchen with granite worktops. Facilities include electric oven, dual fuel (gas/electric) hob with extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave. Cupboards contain a comprehensive range of crockery, pots/pans and cooking utensils.
The lounge features a TV with satellite reception and DVD player, as well as a CD/radio. We keep a large selection of DVDs for your use, and a flexible library - when you finish your book, swap it for one of ours. The dining room has a table and chairs.
A large room for the storage of the outside furniture, which also includes a washing machine, toilet and sink.
Further details outdoors: The main reason for the high level of repeat customers we attract is the magnificent pool - at 12m x 6m, it is almost half the length of most public leisure centre pools. In addition it is heated outside of the hot summer months, and floodlit for gorgeous evenings on the terrace (and midnight dips!!).

The garden is fully enclosed, and small children cannot wander off, assuming the gate is locked. For larger parties, please note that a neighbouring 2 bedroom apartment may also be available - please contact us for further details.
Although our villa is not adapted for wheelchair users, it is not wheelchair 'unfriendly'. It is all on one level, with tiled floors throughout. There are a couple of steps to access the property from the front, and 4 steps from the lounge area down to the terrace. We have had two parties with wheelchair bound members, who have coped well.

If you have access to Google Earth , you may be interested in seeing the villa from the sky. If so, the coordinates for the star at the centre of our pool are: 38 degrees, 39' 29.56" North, 0 degrees, 4' 32.03" East. From this perspective, you can see that the villa is in a lovely residential area, with the pool being significantly larger than average. You can also see it's location with respect to the coast and the town of Calpe.
Within the villa you will find a comprehensive file of information about the villa, local shops, bars and resaturants, and details of various leisure activities. We encourage all our guests to add their own comments (and new discoveries), giving an unbiased user guide to what to do and where to go.
Conditions
We require 10% deposit at time of booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. In addition, we require a £100 security deposit - fully refundable assuming no damage or breakages.
Changeover day is Saturday during busy months (early April to end of October), but we can be more flexible outside this time. Please note that we have to insist on arrival at the villa after 4pm, and departure by 10am to allow time for cleaning and laundry change.
Pool heating is not included in £375 weeks, but can be provided at a supplement of £75 per week. All other weeks include pool heating.
