Calpe / La Vallesa Park area
Calpe is situated along the coast from Alicante,twenty minutes drive from benidorm.Penon de illfach is a 1000ft high rock jutting out to sea on the beach in calpe,a nature reserve for wildlife and plants.,if you are brave you can go to the top and see spectacular scenery for miles.There are many walks and places to visit around calpe for example the font de algar,which is a waterfall in the hills where you can swim and further up Guadalest,a small town nestled on top of a mountain with 360 degree views.Calpe is very laid back with many good restaurants everything from calpe steakhouse to curry,chinese,etc.In October there is the Moors and Christians week,fiesta,fireworks and re-enactment of invasion by the Moors,battle on the beach,cannons included!!.At tthe beginning of october there is a week long Beer Festival around 9th to 15th.

Fly to alicante airport by any airline. budget airlines all fly into alicante,eg ryanair,bmi baby jet2. calpe is 40 minutes by car from alicante,spanish bus company alsa run regular buses and there is a train service.info will be sent on booking.
