Spacious self contained apartment within a friendly family run villa. Open plan lounge and pool table. Open plan kitchen with all needed for self catering. Master bedroom c/w double bed and wardrobe. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and wardrobe. Small box room has single bed or cot and cabinet (suit child or small adult) In the lounge is a bed settee and privacy curtain. Large shower room c/w sink , mirror. Private porch and view of your pool, palms and Ifach (Calpe rock) For your own use there is the 10mt Pool, Outdoor kitchen c/w gas bbq, fridge, table, and chairs. Also there is an exercise machine and dart board.
Casa Karija is situated on a wide road with very little traffic and is therefore usually very quiet.

The apartment has a nice homely feel about it. Main bedrooms have locks and are well spaced apart. There is also a second W.C.
A welcome pack is left in the apartment with our compliments. (no need to rush out for shopping immediately)

Ian and Karen live on the top floor of Casa Karija and have their own entrance. We personally greet all guests initially to show them around, after that guests are left to relax and enjoy their holiday. Guests have a private electric gated parking area c/w car port for their own use. SMOKING welcome in outside areas.

Airport pickups can usually be arranged after separate discussions and agreed costs.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region


Costa Blanca has one of the healthiest climates in Europe with around 320 days of sunshine a year. There are numerous blue flag beaches for swimming and the area is ideal for all ages. It has been a very popular destination for many generations. The coast road runs through many picturesque villages as well as the main towns, making driving a pleasure. Close by are many large tourist attractions including Benidorm, Terra Mittica, Benidorm Palace, Aqualandia, The green tour buses offer free days out, Guadalest is a beautiful day out, as well as many other lovley villages and small towns.
The Calpe / La Empedrola area
Calpe is a beautiful town, and is easily recognised by the 330 mtr rock that stands between the two beaches. The rock (Ifach) can be walked up by the fit enthusiast, and offers a spectacular view of the town. Just a 35 min. drive from Calpe you can visit Guadalest. This stunning old village with its many cave houses, has been made into museums and been voted one of the best places to visit in Spain. There is a flea market on Wednesdays also a large traditional Spanish market every Saturday in Calpe.
There are two large blue flag sandy beaches with all the amenities that you expect from the best holiday resorts. There is a diving centre near to Calpe. There are day trips to Benidorn and Denia by boat from Calpe. There is a glass bottom boat and fishing trip boats at Calpe fishing port. Benidorm Palace is one of the top shows in eu (35mins drive) for a lively fun night out. Calpe has many very good restaurants, bars and shops, and many fiestas.
Festivals are a major event for the people of Calpe and visitors from far and wide. Below is a list of the major festivals being held:

The Empedrola urbanization is towards the Benissa side of Calpe and features wide streets and properties on large 1.000m2 plus plots. Most of it has sea and mountain views with the Olta and Bernia ranges visible.

Fly to Alicante airport (1 hour drive to apartment approx) Ryanair, Thomson, Flybe, Easyjet etc. Valencia airport is a little further (1.25 hours drive approx) We will send details of hire car company's available at the airport if required. Travelling by train or taxi from the airport is also very pleasant. Maps and driving details available on request. (the drive from Alicante airport to Calpe is surprisingly easy using the new high quality and safe motorway the AP7)

Just returned from a stay at Casa Karija, which our family party of 7 thoroughly enjoyed. The villa was everything and more than we had hoped. Ian and Karen were extremely friendly and always discretely on hand if needed which made our stay even more enjoyable! The area is very relaxing and quiet yet lively Calpe is only a 5 min drive. Fantastic holiday.
Arrived back in the uk on Monday after spending our 9th and most relaxing holday yet in Calpe. The apartment was by far the best we have ever stayed in and had everything and more than we could have wished for it is very clean and extremely well equipped. The very generous and well thought out welcome pack was a joy as we did not have the need to rush straight out to the supermarket for anything until the next day. Having two teenage boys the added bonus of the pool table, sky tv and a dvd player was a hit. The Villa is situated in beautiful and peaceful surroundings with a good size and well maintained pool with a delightful garden and BBQ area yet it is only a 5 mins drive to the town and beaches. We have previously always stayed in frontline apartments but never again. Karen, Ian and Jazz were very friendly and helpful but at the same time discreet. We very much enjoyed our chats with them over a glass of wine or two! (purchased from a lovely little Bodega in the Jalon valley, well worth a visit). We will definantley be returning in 2010 and couldnt think of anywhere else we would rather stay than "Casa Karija"
Places of interset include Guadalest, Fonts D'algar, Aqualandia, Terra Mittica, Penon D' Ifach + much more and dont forget to visit Calpe old town it really is worth the short walk up the hill as it really is beautiful.

We had a great holiday, did not want to come home (Kent). Such a relaxing holiday great apartment more like a villa pool is for you alone, owners very discreet but very friendly and helpful. Hoping to go back next year for 3 weeks, so I guess that says it all
Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Pet-friendly, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers.

Karen and Ian are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet,with a really fanstastic villa! Great accomadation,a lovely pool,and an excellent outdoor BBQ area.The whole experience made for a great holiday and we can't wait to go back!
This was our second year at Casa Karija which was meant to be our last, as we have been to Calpe for eight years and stayed at many villas. But we have found this one to be the best ever, so we will be going back next year. The apartment (which is more like a villa) lacks nothing, you have all the privacy as you would in a villa.
Ian and Karen are so friendly but seem to know when you want to be left alone.
We spent some good eveniings together over a few drinks. Cannot wait for next year. Can thoroughtly recommend this apartment also situated in a nice peaceful area.
