CALPE is a beautiful resort located on the Costa Blanca . It is a very popular holiday destination for many Europeans, including many Spanish holiday makers. Calpe is a beautiful and easily accessible town with everything within easy reach whether you want to hire a car and explore surrounding areas, or discover Calpe on foot. Just 45 minutes from Alicante airport, and 70 minutes from Valencia. Close to beautiful neighbouring towns like Altea and Moiraire too, as well as all the theme and water parks just outside of Benidorm.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Alicante is situated in The Costa Blanca,a very popular destination with 320 days of sunshine a year.Surrounded with salt lakes and white sandy beaches This is an ideal location for keen golfers,offering numerous golf coarses within a few minutes drive.
The old town of Calpe is worth a wander around to see some historical buildings and squares. There's a street market every Saturday in the town and a flea market every Wednesday. In the summer months there are crafts fairs in the old town.
The Calpe area
There are lots of restaurants within the Calpe area including the town, the port and along the two main beach areas of Playa la Fossa and Playa Cantal Roig. There is a wide and varied choice from traditional Spanish, Indian, Tapas, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Swiss, Mexican and others I am sure. Here’s a sample of some tried and tested ones.
Water Park, Marine Park, Roller Coasters and Wildlife! Something for everyone all conveniently located about a 20 minute drive from apartment.
There are boat trips from the harbour to Benidorm along with sailing lessons and other water sports.
There is a little train which takes tourists on a scenic ride between the two main beaches. Approx 5 euros per person, (please check on pricing).
Finestrat - La Marina Shopping Centre - 15 minutes drive
La Marina shopping centre is the leading centre for shopping, leisure and eating in the area of La Marina Baixa. Located in Finestrat, it is very close to the towns of Benidorm and Villajoyosa, with excellent links to the rest of the area. Its area of influence is not limited to the surrounding towns, but it has become the preferred shopping centre for Spanish and foreign residents and holidaymakers from neighbouring regions.
Its architecture and the facilities it provides make it a highly convenient place for family shopping, at the same time being very popular with young and older people thanks to its wide range of leisure facilities, restaurants and fashionable shops offering all the leading Spanish and international brands in one place. It is recommended that you hire a car for your stay in Calpe, however we are able to arrange airport transfers upon request. (Typical private transfer from Alicante 60 euros each way and 90 euros from Valencia each way)
We recommend Solmar car rental as it’s what we use when we visit it has an office within the airport along with car pick up and drop off.

A lovely flat with everything you could ever need, within walking distance of the town, old town and harbour.
We were met by Francis with keys and full instructions - really helpful. A peaceful apartment block which is spotless with lift, swimming pool and even a book exchange! The flat itself has amazing views out of every window, a comfortable living room, well stocked kitchen, wifi which always worked and even Britsh TV channels (handy when it was a bit chilly out).
Would definitely recommend

We stayed for four weeks in the excellent apartment at 5a Rubino. Very well situated first line on the promenade between the port and the arenal beach which extends up to the town. Wonderful views from the sun lounge straight along this beach with the mountains at Maryvilla providing a lovely backdrop. From the bedrooms the view is towards the port and the awesome Penyon for which the town is famous. For the energetic the walk to the top provides a wondrous view of the surrounding area. Well worth the effort if physically able. The apartment is tastefully furnished and provides a comfortable stay for your holiday. The hot/cold air heating system ensures a comfortable temperature at all times. To the front of the building there is an attractive pool area and adequate parking in the street at the rear.
There is an abundance of restaurants close at hand all providing good meals at reasonable cost. . A visit to the old town is well worth the effort and especially enjoy the english run Patio del Fuente for first class food. Calpe is a lovely town and to my view the best seaside on the Costa Blanca.

This was our first visit to Calpe and , although it was off-season, there was still enough of interest in and around Calpe to keep us occupied. Apart from the first week when we had stormy weather for 3/4 days, we mostly had bright sunny days and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Calpe and the surrounding area. The apartment was excellent. Rubino is situated in what is probably the best location in Calpe and opens directly on to the paved promenade within easy walking distance of the Old Town, the harbour and the various lovely beaches. 5A is beautifully furnished in modern style and has fantastic views of the sea and mountains from the lounge and the glass-curtained balcony. The bedrooms also have wonderful views of the famous Penon Rock and the views are special even when the weather is not at it's best. In summary, we had a wonderfully relaxing time in this welcoming and comfortable apartment.
