The villa is located in the “Los Pinos”area of Calpe (the pines) and stands in an elevated position on a large corner site of a quiet cul-de-sac. We are literally a lovely 10 to 15 minute walk from the sea and beaches.
When sitting on the terrace in the evenings sometimes Flamingo’s can be heard flying overhead from the old salt fields within Calpe. (Now a nature reserve). The terrace is also a fantastic place to be - when watching the fantastic firework displays from Calpe - for the "NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS" (with many of the surrounding villa’s applauding & cheering the amazing displays).

Villa Sarabanda is a spacious detached family villa with a private swimming pool situated within a peaceful residential suburb of the cosmopolitan resort of Calpe on the Costa Blanca. The villa stands in an elevated - south facing position with wonderful views towards the Bernia mountain range. This stretch of coastline on the Costa Blanca - is renowned for it's excellent year round climate.
The villa is within a 10 minute easy walk to the sea and beaches, plus numerous bars and restaurants. Rental availability is throughout the year. Villa Sarabanda is ideal for family groups and friends holidaying together and will accommodate from 2 people up to a maximum of 8 people.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Calpe offers many attractions ranging from historical Roman ruins through to water sports and exceptional markets. There are also many fiestas throughout the year with the most notable being the Moors and Christians festival in October.
The two main beaches around Calpe are of the highest standard and both have been awarded the blue flag by the F.E.E. (Foundation for Environmental Education.) The Paseo Maritimo runs along the edge of the beaches and is lined with a variety of bars and restaurants.
Calpe / Los Pinos - The Pines area
Calpe's most distinguishing feature is the Penon de Ifach, a towering 332m high rock jutting out into the sea where the town's Levante and El Arenal beaches meet at right angles. The rock has been turned into a nature park sheltering a variety of plants and many species of birds including the peregrine falcon. The summit can be reached via a pathway and a tunnel.
There are many festivals throughout the year in Calpe; one of the most spectacular is the Moors and Christians festival that takes place in October. This festival is a mixture of religion, history and street carnival, During this festival many of the towns inhabitants dress up in amazing costumes and re-enact historical events and battles. The festival usually ends with feasting and fireworks.
How to get there
The nearest airport to Calpe is ALICANTE. There are numerous budget airlines that fly into Alicante airport. For example "Ryanair" "Easyjet" "BMI baby" & "Monarch". Alicante is approx 1 hours drive from the villa. Murcia and Valencia airports are approx 2 hours drive from the villa - using the same fast coastal toll road.
Car hire is highly recommended when staying at the villa. Shop around for 3 or 4 quotes. Recommendations to look at for competitive pricing are "Do You Spain" & "AMS villa-link".
On leaving Alicante airport - follow the "Blue signs towards Valencia" - which will take you onto the toll road (costing approx £2.50). This is a very easy drive of approx 1 hours duration. Depart the toll road when signs for Calpe town become apparent. The villa is a pleasant 5 mintues drive from Calpe town, passing the old salt fields en-route (which are now a nature reserve).

Further details indoors: This spacious detached villa is built on two levels and is situated on a corner site of a quiet cul-de-sac in a residential suburb of Calpe and will accommodate up to 8 people. There are three bedrooms upstairs & a studio flat downstairs.
The main living and sleeping area is on the upper floor and is approached by an external staircase, which leads onto a substantial terraced area that is covered and overlooks the villa's swimming pool. The terrace has ample room for the enjoyment of alfresco meals and has wonderful southerly views over towards the Sierra Bernia Mountain range. Within the villa there is a good-sized dining & lounge area and a separate well fitted kitchen with fridge freezer and microwave. The interior of the villa is furnished tastefully throughout, giving the villa an authentic Spanish feel.
The upper bedrooms comprise of :- One double bedroom with an en-suite shower room & two twin bedrooms. There is also the main family bathroom.
Downstairs there is an enclosed sunroom, with sliding tinted glass doors. This leads into the self-contained studio flat, which has twin beds within the living space. There is a small kitchenette with a washing machine and an en-suite shower-room.
Further details outdoors: The villa has a standard sized swimming pool, with roman steps leading into it.
Adjoining the swimming pool is a sun-terrace area with pool side furniture and a mosaic tiled wrap around pool shower. Within the sun-terrace area is a built-in barbecue with chimney.
To the rear of the villa is an interesting cactus garden, which grows amongst pine and eucalyptus trees. The property stands within a good-sized walled garden and has parking for two vehicles.

Prices are per week for the villa, NOT per person and include linen, towels (not beach towels), local taxes etc.
Starter packs are available on request.
If staying for two weeks or more, fresh bed linen and towels will be provided on a weekly basis.

We will forward a bank giro slip to facilitate payment of the 25% deposit required - in order to confirm a booking.
During the High & Mid Seasons the villa is rented out on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis only. When planning flights, please bear in mind that normal entry time is 17.00 and departure is by 10.00

During the Low and Winter Season - there is flexibility with arrival & departure dates along with entry and exit times.
Also during the Low and Winter Seasons - the Villa can be rented out at a reduced rental rate - as a three bedroom villa for smaller groups of people.
Sorry - No pets are allowed within the villa. No smoking is permitted within the villa - however smoking is allowed on the covered terrace.
