The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca is renowned for it's all-year-round climate, with lots of places of interest steeped in history just waiting to be explored.

There are many activities/place to see in the surrounding areas:

If you take the coast road towards Valencia, you pass through Moraira, Javea and Denia. There is a ferry port at Denia, where a short ferry journey will take you across to Ibiza.

If you take the coast road to Alicante you pass throught the ancient town of Altea, where the old part of the town on the hill is worth a visit. Also on route is the lively town of Benidorm and then the colourful town of Villa Joyosa, with it's brightly painted houses.

Calpe / Casa Nova area

Calpe is situated on the Costa Blanca between Alicante and Valencia. It is renowned for its 2 long white sandy beaches, which stretch to 13km, separated by the Penon de Ifach (Calpe Rock) also know as the Mini Rock of Gibraltar. Calpe is still a fishing village where the local fishermen bring back the day's catch for the port side Seafood Restaurants. It has an historic part in the old town, which is still typically Spanish steeped in tradition with lots of fiestas ranging from Carnivals with colourful costumes to Bull Runs. It has an all-year-round climate, ideal for getaway winter breaks.

Guestbook for Casa Girasol

Just a quick mail to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Spain. Casa Girasol was absolutely perfect for us, especially with a 2 year old. We were surprised and pleased to see that every facility we could require was available to us. ( I was even able to catch up with the motor racing on Sunday night, a holiday first for me!) The complex is lovely, the pool was clean and safe and usually we were the only people there.

Please feel free to use me as a reference should anyone ever ask, especially as to the suitability of the apartment for children, or you can quote from this email. I don't mind if you want to give out my email address or telephone number to anyone who wants an unbiased opinion of your property.
