The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
There are a wide variety of activities and sightseeing opportunities all within striking distance of Calpe . Along the coast are the resorts of Javea, Moraira, Altea and further afield, Benidorm and Denia. All of which provide high quality beaches and a variety of activities from theme parks in Benidorm to beach side walks in Javea. Shopping in Alicante, Valencia or Denia and you can also visit Elche, world-famous for its palmtrees.
There are a number of good golf courses in the area and details can be provided if required. Further inland the Jalon Valley is a popular tourist destination - the home of multiple Orange and Lemon groves and wine producing vineyards. The mountain resort of Guadalest is also a great day trip with spectacular water falls. You can also make a daytrip to Valencia where you can visit the Town of Arts and Science, where you will find the Oceanografic, the Hemisferic and the Prince Philip's Museum besides the very rich culture of the town.
Overall the Costa Blanca region of Spain has one of the best climates in the world, enjoying over 300 days of sunshine in an average year. The average yearly temperature is 18°C/64°F with temperatures mostly around 28°C/82°F in August and 16°C/61°F in February. Winter in this area is generally sunny and pleasant.
Calpe / Playa La Fossa area
Calpe is a very popular, relaxed family resort with lovely beaches. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in the centre or on the beaches of Calpe. One of the most impressive sites is the huge rock mass of the Penon de Ifach that dominates the sandy beaches on either side. It is part of the smallest natural park of Europe and remains isolated and untouched. A climb to the 330m summit reveals spectacular views of the coastline. Calpe is 18km north of the very popular resort of Benidorm, where you can find Theme and Fun Parks like Aqualandia, Mundomar, Terra Natura and Terra Mítica, as well as the Benidorm Palace, the biggest nightclub in Spain with great shows. We can provide you with tickets for all these places. The Ifach golf course is situated in Moraira on a country estate with the best views in the Region. It has a round of nine holes. However, two rounds can be managed easily and players will be able to enjoy their game while admiring the view of the Peñón de Ifach rock and the sun sparkling on the Mediterranean Sea. The round is not too hard for beginners, nor too tiring for tourists who play in the summer season.

* Fly to Alicante- where you can rent a car (we can organize that for you!) or by taxi (90.-€ aprox.)- drive aprox.60km by highway (A7) direction Valencia-exit Altea/Calpe- Calpe- straight on to the Levante Beach- Avenida Juan Carlos I (Paraiso Mar:collect the keys here) and from there on the 3rd street to the right: Calle Llevant (Hipocampos) * Fly to Valencia- where you can rent a car (we can organize that for you) or by taxi ( € ?)-drive aprox. 120km by A7 direction Alicante- exit Benissa/ Calpe-Calpe- straight on to the Levante Beach-Avda.Juan Carlos I-Paraiso Mar: collect the keys here) and from there on the 3rd street to the right: Calle Llevant - Hipocampos * Fly to Murcia-where you can rent a car (we can organize that for you)-take the highway to Alicante-Valencia (northwards)- pass Alicante- continue direction Valencia- exit Altea/Calpe etc..
