The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
Calpe's fishing port comes alive with hustle and bustle as the afternoon fish auction draws near. Restaurant terraces fill up with lively crowds anxious to try some of the fresh local shellfish. The town centre preserves the remains of a small fort from the 16th century, called the Torreon de la Peca. There is also a Gothic-style parochial church worth visiting, with Mudejar additions. From the chapels of Cometa and Salvador there is an attractive view.
Calpe old town: Ample evidence of Calpe's rich history in murals, monuments and museums. Picturesque narrow streets with cafes, restaurants and bars tucked away.
For some years running in the summer, the Arts and Crafts Fair is held in the Old Town centre of Calpe every day except Mondays. During June to September, the Calle José Antonio and the Plaza de Espana will present a lively scene in the evening, not only artists and craftsmen by putting up their stands but there are also workshops and live entertainment as well as an art exhibition.
Calpe is one of the liveliest tourist destinations on the Costa Blanca.
Its cultural variety is evident in the wide range of festivals it offers throughout the year, which reflect its history, its tradition and the feeling of its people. From the arrival of the Three Kings in the month of January through the Moors and Christians in October, different periods of Festival are centred in Calpe religious, popular and traditional in character They are extrovert, open and for participation, made to be celebrated in the open air under the Mediterranean sun. Light, fire, gunpowder, colour, festive music, originality and the grandeur of their decoration are common elements of all the festivals in Calpe and manifestations of the Valencia Community

19 march: Fallas huge wooden art models are brunt
1st March: Cruz de Mayo (May Cross)

Walking around the Rock of Ifach beside the sea along the "Prince of Asturias" promenade .Enjoying a swim or scuba diving in the nearby coves of "Cantal Roig" or El Raco". Savoring the delicious specialties of the bay of Calpe -fish and seafood-, in the different restaurants.

I have stayed in this villa twice now, always well kitted out, great layout for family/ large groups. Owners very accomodating for individual needs and open to ideas to further benefit the villa. Decor very practical for pool fun and children. Easy to keep tidy, lots of space for different activities. very safe for young children. Great as a base for costa blanca exploration. Calpe beautiful and unspoilt. definately booking again.

"Friendly, peaceful, perfect base......."
Two post is a great place to stay, you can go explore Calpe or relax on the loungers in the sun. Oranges outside your door waiting to be picked, everything there including a welcome pack so you can start winding down straight away. The owners are friendly and helpful but don't bother you. Looking forward to another visit and would highly recommend.

Thank you for your review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I always value my clients feedback thank you for your comment about the towels and linen I've now replace them. On the advert for casa Bella it already states that I recommend a hire car, however local supermarkets do deliver to the door and local taxis to town cost about 4-5€ so people have the option to either hire a car or use taxis. It was lovely to meet you and your family I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Great villa that suited our family. The villa is rustic and could do with a little updating but our family had a great stay. The pool was fab and the outdoor BBQ and seating area lovely. The villa's location is cental although a car is recommended, especially if you have children who like to take the kitchen sink to the beach!!!! The owner was very helpful with sound knowledge of the area and its amenities.
