The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca offers virtually year-round sunshine making it one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. The Costa Blanca remains one of the most scenic areas of Spain, where unspoilt fishing villages and historic towns lie between miles of beautiful rock coves and white sandy beaches, most of which have received the prestigious European “Blue Flag” award for safety and cleanliness.
In this region as you drive around the winding roads there is spectacular mountain scenery and many charming traditional towns and villages, such as Benissa, Gata and the magnificent fortress town of Guadalest built on a precipice.
The local green countryside is dotted with beautiful individual white-washed villas. Shady pine woods, citrus groves and vine terracing make a pretty and relaxing setting for those wanting to unwind on a peaceful holiday away from the package tour crowds. This is a fantastic area with no shortage of things to do, or places to visit and catering for all tastes.
Calpe / Gran Sol area
The nearest beaches are about 5 minutes drive into Calpe with its fishing port, fish restaurants, marina and long promenades. They are long white sandy beaches with lots of restaurants, bars and children's play areas. Here you can find the famous spectacular Calpe Rock rising 332m high which dramatically divides the two beaches. There are many other bars and restaurants in Calpe and nearby offering varied top quality local and international cuisine that cater for every taste (Greek, Dutch, German, Belgian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, French etc). The old town has narrow streets, steps and is very picturesque with its museums, colourful paintings on the walls, traditional tapas bars and quaint park areas. There are well preserved Roman & Moorish remains which are evidence of Calpe’s rich history. The salt lake on the edge of the town is home to flamingos and numerous other aquatic birds. In Calpe you can enjoy all the hustle and bustle and variety of activities that it has to offer
The property is only 15-20 mins drive from the popular coastal resort of Moraira and only a further 10 mins drive to the beautiful Jalon Valley with its terraced citrus and almond groves and wonderful scenery, Oliva, Denia & Javea. Benidorm is 30 mins drive away offering more attractions such as discos, nightclubs, shows, bars, Aqualanda Water Park, Mundomar (a marine and exotic animal park) and the theme park of ‘Terra Mitica’. Alicante airport is less than an hour’s drive away, Valencia’s is about 30 min. more.
There are also many other activities such as safari parks, kiddies fair, tennis, golf, go-kart racing, climbing, walking, various water sports, sailing, swimming, diving, boat hire/trips, cycling and trips nearby.

Guestbook for Villa Catalina
Thank you so much for the way this booking was conducted. I felt at all times that I could trust you and your information was excellent. You both have a lovely property in Calpe. The property was clean and well presented. The kitchen had everything we needed. The Shower rooms were lovely and the showers were great. The gardens are probably the villa’s best feature. The barbecue area was superb and we all enjoyed eating out there. As a family we all thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Villa Catalina. Considering we had a 25, 22 and 20 year old the villa offered something for us all, especially the pool which was well maintained and had a very pleasant aspect. The villa is in a lovely area and is a most attractive property. A very relaxing time was enjoyed by all. Sharon, Bolton,
We would like to thank you for the use of your beautiful villa. It looked nice in the photographs but it exceeded all our expectations. Beautifully clean and so well equipped (for the first time on hols eating-in was a pleasure!). We all loved the pool and the patio area was perfect for keeping out of the midday sun. Hopefully we will be in touch again for another trip to your lovely villa. Ruth, Ashbourne, Derbys.
