The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Located on the coast, close to the mountains where you can enjoy the waterfalls at Algar and the hilltop village of Guadalest.
We are close to the Jalon valley with its views, wine tasting and the almond blossom to be admired if you visit in the Spring.
The area is an ideal location for keen golfers, offering numerous golf courses a short drive away.
Benidorm is only a twenty minute drive as are Terra Mittica theme park, Terra Natura wildlife park, Mundomar sealife centre and Aqualandia water park.
The Calpe area
Calpe is an historical fishing port. The salt flats on the outskirts of town attract flamingoes and other species of wild fowl.
The Old Town of Calpe is worth a wander around to see the historical buildings, squares and museums.
A thriving Saturday market will help you spend your money, along with a regular rastro(car boot sale) on a Wednesday.
The main festivials in Calpe are the Moors and Christians - around 20th October and the Virgen de las Nieves - beginning of August. Most fiestas are accompanied by firework displays and live music.
There are boat trips from the harbour to Benidorm and along the coast, along with sailing lessons and other water sports.
