The Villa is the perfect location for family or romantic holidays- Summer or Winter. And in particular for those who enjoy golf, sailing, walking, cyclng and more. For the 'foodies' a selection of local restaurants in walking distance provide great 'Catalan' cuisine and wine. The nearest beach (3km) St Antoni Calonge is renown for its sand beaches and rocky coves which children particularly enjoy

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Costa Brava - coast of the Brave! The North Eastern area of Catalonia - renouned for its character -people - places - food - wine. Hot in the Summer Cool in the Winter. Lush green mountains covered in Cork Oak trees and Mediterranean Pines. The region is full of places of interest and is particularly known for its links with the artist Salvadore Dali. Hill top medieval villages are a feature of the landscape - most of the Towns and Villages have weekly markets selling a wide range of local products - fruit - vegetables - honey - wine - olive oil - meat - fish! Visitors soon learn that the Costa Brava provides a paradise of opportunities for old and young what ever your preference for a holiday may be - Summer or Winter!

How to get there

Importantly, excellent access roads (E15/A7) make Calonge easily accessible, with Girona (35 minutes) Costa Brava airport (30 minutes) drive from Villa Antoni. A wide choice of destinations provided by low cost airlines (Ryan - Spanair) provide a frequent and reliable service to the UK, Ireland and Western Europe. Fast rail routes to the South; Barcelona (1 hour) from Caldes de Malayella (25 minutes), Madrid and the North to France (approx 45km). A wide choice of rental cars are available for hire at the airport or by surfing the web. Taxis can be arranged to meet clients at the airport or railway stations.

The interior is very modern and spacious with separate dining and living rooms. The master bedroom on the upper floor has its own bathroom with bath and shower.The bedroom's private covered terrace, with outstanding views, is accessed through french doors . The second bathroom provides an en suite facility for a twin bedroom - in addition to servicing the other bedrooms. A very well fitted kitchen is ideal for self catering and includes a washing machine and external drying facilities. A large Southerly facing covered terrace benefits from morning and evening sun and is equipped with a large round dining table with seating for *10. All rooms and terraces benefit from the rural location and special views. For families with babies or young children cots or additional beds can be arranged. Large windows allow a flow of air that negates the need for airconditioning.

The large garden (1,500 sq mtr) provides privacy and a range of facilities. These include BBQ, a secluded regualarly cleaned pool with 8 sunloungers and a very special hammock. Direct access to Calonge Village and open countryside link with signed walking and cycle routes through local vinyards and Gavarres mountains. A quiet lane to the Village is a special feature. Off road parking and paths designed to allow wheel chair access make the Villa suitable for any one with mobility restrictions or disabilities.

Further details

The Villa handovers usually take place on Saturdays. But this condition is flexible, to meet clients needs. In addition - the normal rental period is multiples of one week, but this is also flexible for short breaks, in particular out of Summer season (July - September) when the Villa is ideal for a sporting weekend - golf - walking - cycling - a romantic break - Energy rejuvination and more.
