About the home

Situated in the Gavarres hills overlooking Palamos, the villa is close to the magnificent beaches of St Antoni and Playa d'Aro. There are a number of excellent golf courses nearby and the Catalan cities of Barcelona, Girona and Figueres are all within easy reach of the villa.

The villa has a large private pool situated at the bottom of a terraced garden and there are stunning views down to the Mediterranean from the villa. The villa has plenty of space for up to eight guests. There are two double bedrooms, as well as two other bedrooms, which makes the villa particularly suitable for two familes travelling together. From the living room there is a spacious covered terrace for where you can eat outside.

The villa has 4 bedrooms, including 2 large double bedrooms which are both air-conditioned. This makes the villa particularly suitable for 2 families. There is a bathroom, shower room and 3 toilets. The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dish-washer. There is a through lounge and dining area. The dining table can seat up to 10 and in the lounge there are 2 sofas and 2 chairs. There is a satellite TV which picks up English channels and a DVD player, as well as a CD/tape player. In the garage there is an automatic washing machine.

Further details outdoors:
Double doors lead out from the lounge to a covered terrace and a barbecue area. The pool, which is 12 by 6 metres, is reached by steps down through the terraced garden. The garden and pool are maintained on a regular basis.

Conditions

No animals please. As the villa is situated on a hillside, the garden is quite steep and the steps down to the pool may not be suitable for very young children.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region

The Costa Brava region of Catalonia is an interesting mix of rugged coastline, sandy beaches, secluded coves and pine covered hills. For those looking for a break from the pool and the beach, there are a number of interesting towns to visit including Girona and Figueres, which has an exceptional Dali museum.

The Calonge area

Calonge is a small medieval town with a number of bars and restaurants. Close by is the old fishing port of Palamos with many excellent restaurants and tapas bars in the old quarter overlooking the port.

The villa is 40 minutes away from Girona airport and Barcelona airport is about a 90 minute drive away. For families driving to Spain, the villa is about an hour from the French border and is close to the A7 motorway.
