The property is situated in the Tamar Valley within easy reach of Devon and Cornwall. Also country walks. and horse-riding stables nearby. Discover Dartmoor and nearby Tavistock with its regular market and antique fares.

The West Country / Cornwall region
Stoke Climsland is situated in the beautiful and unspoilt Tamar Valley where wildlife is in abundance. It has been in the past an area for farming and mining activity. It is now the home of an equestrian college, and horse-riding stables are nearby for public use. During the summer open-air jazz and classical music concerts are held locally in the grounds of an old country estate.
Callington / Stoke Climsland area
Callington and Launceston are both ancient Cornish towns. There are regular farmer's markets selling local produce. Visit Launceston castle and keep an eye out for the many artistic events which happen within it's grounds, both theatrical and musical.
It is just 40 minutes by car from Looe and Bude, Polzeath and Daymer Bay, which makes Goosewell House an ideal base. Cotehele House and Morwellham Quay are less than a 15 minute drive for a family day out. Also within easy reach are the Eden Project and Dobwalls Theme Park, a firm favourite with children
How to get there
Car required. From Plymouth, take the Launceston Road. At Kelly Bray turn left at The Swingletree towards Stoke Climsland, carry on through the village for approx 1 mile, turn left by a row of houses, drive for 1 mile taking the second turning. House is 100 metres on right.
