Home description

Our purpose-built holiday bungalow is located on the edge of the wooded Tamar Valley with stunning views to Plymouth and beyond. It is within easy reach of the attractions of both Cornwall and Devon. Several good pubs in the immediate area serve excellent food and welcome families.
Ideal for a family holiday, the bungalow itself is comfortable and well-equipped. There are three bedrooms (one with a double bed and two with twin beds) providing homely accommodation for up to 6 people. Use of the on-site leisure facilities (when operational) including an indoor pool and fitness room is included.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Situated on the Cornwall side of the Tamar River valley, but just a stone's throw from Devon, this is the perfect base to explore both counties.
Cornwall is rich in history and culture with ancient stone circles, castles and stately homes, picturesque fishing villages and quaint churches. The coastline is truly spectacular with beaches providing top surfing destinations as well as idyllic coves for rockpooling and building sandcastles.
Over the border into Devon, you can experience the rugged beauty of Dartmoor, the atmosphere of the local market towns and the hustle and bustle of the maritime city of Plymouth with its historic Barbican and Plymouth Hoe.


Callington / St Ann's Chapel area

If you just want to relax and unwind, Honicombe Manor Holiday Village is the perfect place. The surroundings are tranquil but there is also a range of on-site leisure facilities for all the family.
Friday is market day in Tavistock, approximately 5 miles away. The Tamar Valley Donkey Park is a few minutes' walk from the Holiday Village and a lovely place to visit, particularly for the younger family members. You can take a stroll along the banks of the River Tamar to Calstock or enjoy a river cruise. The National Trust's Cotehele House is nearby and there are several good pubs and restaurants. The renowned Horn of Plenty Restaurant is a short drive from here.

There are three bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with twin beds, a bathroom with electric shower over the bath and a separate toilet and washbasin. The open-plan kitchen/dining area / lounge boasts new leather sofas, a colour TV/video player, a stereo radio/CD player and a selection of CDs as well as some books and board games to amuse the family.
Electric storage heating is included (not mid-June to mid Sept). Other electricity including electric heaters, microwave, cooker and fridge with a small freezer compartment all operated by £1 coin meter.

There is a small patio area for which we provide a table, six chairs and a sun umbrella.
There is a parking area nearby.
The tariff includes use of the facilities of Honicombe Manor Holiday Village when operational. These include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness room, tennis courts, restaurant, bar, shop and launderette. There is occasional entertainment in the Manor House.

There are approximately ten steps to the bungalow.
Welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk provided on arrival.
Towels are supplied for use in the bungalow only. Please bring your own towels for the beach or swimming pools.


Conditions

A deposit of £50 per week will be required at time of booking. The balance will be payable eight weeks before the start date of the holiday.

Three or four night Short Breaks are sometimes available and can be booked in advance except for the arrival periods Easter, May Bank Holidays, the Friday prior to the last full week in July to the Saturday after August Bank Holiday, October half term and Christmas and New Year for which short breaks may only be booked 28 days in advance.
