Home description
We are a situated in a very quiet place in the midst of the forest. The accommodation is an independent building that was initially designed as a friends' house. The plot is 2 or 3 acres and is only shared with our house hence the swimming pool is only shared between the guest and us.
Stone built house with oak beamed ceiling. This is typical of the Provence architecture. The accommodation is constituted of a) Main room with bathroom and American kitchen. 1 sofa bed. b) Large double bedroom with shower bathroom en suite. 1 double and sofa available. Note: There is only an outside connection between the two rooms.
For the comfort of the guest both bedrooms are equipped with top range air conditioning systems and TV set (free-view only); the main room is equipped with a VHS player along with some movies.
The house's terrace will be perfect for dinner / lunch in summer time. On the forest side, kids (and parents) will have a wonderful playground.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region
The region is famous for its diversity in terms of climate and landscapes. From the large and famous beaches at St Tropez and the southern Alpes, the jurassic Esterel mountains each day will be a discovery.
The village of Callian that overlooks the whole valley is only 1.5 miles away is famous for its Cascade and its old stone built houses. Also depending on your tastes you can enjoy classic music concert in the middle-age chapel or art exhibitions.
Going north, you can discover the wild "Alpilles". Other altitude lakes and wild forest areas are closeby. The famous "Gorges du Verdon" (Mountain river) and the village of Moustier where the famous artwork ceramic are made can be reached in the hour via the fantastic mountain roads.
Going South, it is the night life at its best. Cannes is only 30 minutes away. St Tropez and St Raphael are easy to reach via the motorway as well.
Callian area
The village (2 miles away) is a typical "nid d'aigle" (eagle nest) and is nice place to have typical local food. Other typical villages are very close: St Cezaire and its caves, Mons and its breath taking view on the whole riviera from Monaco to St Tropez.
You will also enjoy rowing and other water sports on the lake of Saint Cassien (15 minutes drive). Plus you are not too far from the Cannes and the sea (less than 20 miles).
In Fayence is the largest gliding centre in Europe only 15 minutes drive for the house.
How to get there
Easyjet is the cheapest airline and Ada or Europcar will be the best for car hire from Nice airport.
The house is situated at 10 km from motorway. The drive from the Airport should only take 45 minutes.
